Mc Lovin
What are the benefits of having a short bike rather than a long bike? Iv'e heard that shorter bikes are easier to spin and better with street, but what else? :-

Deonn h
Short bikes are easier to spin around and things like that as you said it`s also easier to bunnyhop up things and lift the front end up.Long bikes offer more balance to hop on the back wheel and rolling over and down rocks.Long bikes are obviously easier to bridge gaps as the wheelbase is bigger. Thanks Deonn.
cookie456_the2nd
When i moved from a short bike to a long bike i found it really hard to hop up stuff, still cant hop as high as i could (about 3 foot). But it is easier to sidehop, gap, wheel swap and i can jus well literally balance on my backwheel.
basher
cookie456_the2nd so what would you rather have short or long
cookie456_the2nd
Sorry, my bad, never really answered the question! Well if you want to be able to throw/flick your bike around then a short bike is quite good. But i find that a longer bike seems to suit me more. I feel more comfortable on a longer bike. Try both and see what you think if you get the chance.
Ash-Kennard
Not really sure if this makes much difference, but, in his profile it says he rides mod, and yours says stock. I've never ridden a short mod, except the t-vee, but that dosent really count . :-

dwarrick
I am ordering a new echo team in the next few days I looked up around this. I gathered that short is better for spins and street style manuvers Long is more for natural trials I have been riding street on my chase for about 2 years so I know that geo means alot about how the bike handles but with the echo team that 30 mm will amke that huge a difference. In the end I went with the long becuse it is my first real all out trials rig, and becuse of my overall height beeing 6foot
B.E.A.U
nah u need a lorry to put my vinco in 1145 wheel base lol. dude i think you would need somat bogger than a lorry for that. how do you ride it without being in the super man position lol
Martin
yeah, shorter is easier to throw about to a certain extent. if you are one of the tallest people, then it may feel to small and be a waste.
