Delete The Dam Bike Pic Threads Insted Of Closing Them.

Mainly 'cos the Auto-Mod button just closes it. Plus, if they'd hosted it in imageshack or something like that, they can get the URL for the pic from their original thread to put in the bike pics thread.

It'd probably be 100x easier all round if people would just not post 'em in the first place, and just put them in the pics thread? (Y)

Yeah, I know (Y)

But yeah, there's a little drop down menu of Auto-Mod things, which cover all the "No FS/WTD in NMC thing", "No spamming", "Stop bumping", "Repost with a minimum asking price" and "No bike pics" things. So we're not just being dicks (N)

Thing is though when you post in the bike pics thred, your pic just becomes one of hundreds of bike pics and no one actuly looks at them.

Thing is though, when people post bike pics thread, theyre constantly bumped to the top of an otherwise useful forum with posts such as 'cool', 'nice bike m8', 'i dont like the bars' etc.. (something which can be posted in the gallery.. although saying that it is a bit shit at the moment but it'll have to do for the meantime)

Leaving the post there and just closing the thread means (as mark said) they can still get their pics from there, secondly leaves a reminder to other users that bike pics should go in the bike pics thread.. and thirdly it stops us getting PMs going 'wheres my thread gone'..

Why not make a sticky that goes to another sub forum, like the "FAQ" forum, so when you go into the bike pics thread, it doesnt take 2 years to load?

what i mean it, make it like the FAQ part of the forum, but make is strickly for bike pics only?

That way it splits up all the bikes into diffrent threads and makes loading time ALOT let! (Y)

Ahh, my wonderful mind (N)

I totally agree, there is very little point in posting your bike pics in that thread, because NOONE would look at them and post comments about it. If they did post comments, it would become sooo long and muddled up with comments of the hundreds of different bikes that it would be uncomprehendeable what the posts are about.

As for it bumping to the front of an otherwise useful forum, why dont you just look down the page and click on the topics that DO interest you, like you would have done anyway. To be fair, if a video topic that you would have wanted to see has gone onto the second page, it is due to a lack of posts within the last couple of days, showing that it has not acheieved much interest in that time.

Well, what can i say B) B) :D

What can I say? Well, the Bike Pics thread was the biggest thread on T-F, and had more views than any other thread. Then the server crashed, and now people don't use the Bike Pics thread. People used to PM/e-mail/talk to people about the pics of their bikes in the bike pics thread, and I know people have spoken to me about mine from pics in there. It works fine, it's just people can't be arsed.

But there we go :ermm:

Why do you just close them, why not delete them, there still serving there purpose, people can still go and look at his bike, just delete them and save some space.

Sorry tom and danny i cant pm either of u.

Sorry Dave, but surely you have more important things to worry about?

people actually want others to see their proud steeds, im sure you can understand this...
