mr ailsbury
Hi, I'm getting a Trek Bruiser 1 for christmas and I need to know about frame sizes. The frame comes in 14 inch and 16 inch and I need to know which one would suit me better... I've ridden a 14 inch bruiser and I liked it alot but I'm 6 foot tall so I'm wondering whether a 16 inch frame would be better? or doesn't it matter really? cheers for any help :) ToM
TheMunn
Jump style frames tend to be smaller, when you are looking at a proper dirt jump bike they are all pretty much 14" frames, you can also look at some people that ride bmx, one of my friends is about 6'5" and he rides bmx, so might aswell go for the 14". CurtisRider
i havent looked, but sometimes they offer the option of a shorter 14inch, and a longer framed 16.....just check and see if you prefer a longer or shorter bike (Y) personally i prefer a slightly longer bike for jumping and street-more 'short' trials bike length (which is kinda long in jump frame scales) but in general 14 and short is the way to go for most (N)
CBProductions
Depends on your style as well, But 14 is very small but 16 is a nice size and still very chuckable, plus with your height you wont have no difficulty with clearance issues lol Craig
CurtisRider
espeacially since most people run the seats up anyway :ermm: so its the equivalent to havin a 16 with the seat down....
