Onza Kieron
I've just changed from Maggie to Disc and noticed 2 dirty big cracks on my Lite Guys, they're just above the four bolt mounts and are about half way round. Has anybody snapped them there because my dad says he doesnt think they've cracked, just paint? I'm off to halfords tomorrow for some nitromors to find out. Kieron :)
Janson
4 bolt forks tend to crack there... look for new forks.
munkee
Yeap every 4 bolt mount fork thats cracked for me has gone there. Its down to the twisting caused by the brakes on the fork legs i beleive, fatigue set in probably. Dont ride with them, they will snap and it does hurt. downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
My mate snapped some on the stearer tube, the lad he bought em off said they were fine (even though we could see the crack ) so he put the on his bike, done a gap, and when he put his front wheel down, his bike went from a 1085WB to a 1340WB LMFAO!!! IOLO
i snapped some of these at the steer tube joint 2 weeks ago,, REALLY dont use them !!! even if they are new and in a box, and some1 paid me ÂŁ1 I WOULDNT USE THEM,, i was doing a street hook from pedaling, i did it a few times,, all going well, then the last attempt as i landed in hook on the wall, they came off the steer tube, this caused them to swing upward and the front wheel smacked me in the face!! then as i proceeded to fall forwards, i cut my hand oped on the fork crown, then the stem, bars and steer tube came out of the frame, the steer tube wedged against the wall, and i fell onto it, it stabbed me in the throat!!!! i ended up on the floor with my throat swelling up and it was difficult to breathe,!! i absolutley shit it, and drank some water to cool it,, and after 5 mins, my breathing came back properly and i was ok,, when people say onza Die guy !! instead of light guy,, they mean it.. apparently if it had hit 1" further up my throat, i the swelling would have blocked it, and i would hav had to cut open my throat in order to breath through the hole.. BAD FORKS !!! :) iolo

yoyoyo
I've had mine sice march and they have been fine, but the steerer is making wierd noises
Rob_P
Dont get them! I cracked mine at the top of the brake mounts on both sides from front touches. Everyone else had a set when they first started riding around here and they all went! Wouldnt bother, get BT forks
minitrialer
I've had mine sice march and they have been fine, but the steerer is making wierd noises  Mine haven't cracked but do creak, probably the same problem as that guy ^^ . But i weight about 2 lbs so it's pretty irrelevant as i don't think i could damage a cardboard frame.
Luke Drewery
Surprisingly I used lite guys for a long time with no problems whatsoever. They are sat in my garage now with only minor scratches. I was weary at first because of their reputation but they were OK forks for me. I did a lot of gaps to front wheel, taps and hooks (on sloped walls, not vertical) and they didnt crack or anything, which is strange because I had a set of wise guys (the heavily gussetted ones) and when going for a tap they snapped on me at the crown and upon further inspection there was loads of tiny cracks on just about every weld on the forks. Luckily I wasnt seriously hurt but I did cut my hand on the crown which was annoying. I think my luck with the lite guys was due to me running a stemlock (replaces star fangled nut and runs through your forks and tightens onto the bottom) as this would have gave them extra support. tank_rider
ive used my set of lite guys for about 18 months, having bought them second hand, ive not had any problems so far although they are starting to worry me a little and i havent got the confidence in them to get a very good front disc for fear of ripping them in half. I'm planning on upgrading soon anyway. I'm a fairly light rider fork wise, and dont really give them a massive thrashing.
