Urpedigreechumdog
Hi, can any of you point me in the right direction to clean all the crap outta my pc as it's going crazy and is on the verge of crashing, and the hard drive is only half full :) I think i might have a lot of spyware of something, but either way it's a bit dodgy. Please Help! Nick Edited October 23, 2005 by Urpedigreechumdog
Siders77
Download.... Spybot Search & Destroy and run that. That gets rid of all of the Spyware. Ad-Aware. And Defragment your computer too. Oh, and do a Virus scan. :) You should be able to get Spybot and Ad-Aware from download.com. (Y) EDIT: Get Ad-Aware from here. And Get Spybot from here. tank_rider
If your PC is runnig Windows and it is over a year old, then your doomed (N) Adam thats not strictly true, my current xp pro installation is about 2 years old and is still going strong. It's a little slower than it could be but meh. I need to do a format, install all the progs i want then make an image so i don't have to bother re-installing everything every time, thats the main hassle. Might have to give that a go this week (Y)

Danny
You must install software such as kazaa/msn+ which comes with it in the installer.
stubert
if ur sending unwanted data its most likely spyware, the microsoft anti spyware was the best i ever used, along with adaware, just watch for unknown "anti-spyware" programs, as infact they are sometimes spyware installers themselves. when u install windows, make sure you make a partition for it about 10gb, that way you only need to format that part of your drive when you re-install it. if you need any help add me to msn and i can talk you through stuff
