Warning To Digital Crocus Users

Right. I just got an E-Mail from Luke@Digital Crocus about a virus on some of their hosted sites.

Here it is...

This is a broadcast message to all Digital Crocus emails.

1. Last night a malicious user sent emails to some of you, spoofing our support email address, containing a link to a virus. If you think you have been infected, please install AVG Anti-Virus from http://free.grisoft.com/, and run a virus scan. Alternatively, update and run your own anti-virus software if you have it. As far as we know, only Internet Explorer users have been affected. We therefore recommend using Firefox, a more secure web browser, available at www.getfirefox.com.

2. Some web pages had also been compromised with an 'iframe' containing the same virus. We can only apologise for allowing this to happen and assure you that the iframe code has now been removed from all affected pages.

We are working to upgrade to a new, more secure (and much faster and higher capacity) server in order to ensure that such security breaches cannot recur. We will keep you all posted on these developments as they occur. The transfer procedure will require that everyone changes their passwords for security purposes. Furthermore, MySQL passwords will soon become different to your main account passwords. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

If you have any further questions please email us at support@digital-crocus.com.

Best Regards,

Luke Marsden

If anyone saw the thread that Mat Hudson made about getting a virus from the Biketrial co site (I Think) then he was right.

Just a warning to you all. (Y)

EDIT: I forgot to say, I had 3 of those E-Mails last night.

Yeah, i got that email this morning.

There was an iframe on our site, but i thought nothing of it and deleted it, because it was only like 2 numbers, but apparently that must have been a virus.

Sorry matt, you were right.

Edit: Just read the IE bit, i use mozilla so it didnt affect me.
