I really can't understand how that thing works? :lol: It's quite confusing actually (Y)

lol, i'm just stupid I guess.

It's easy. Take the front cog size, and divide it by the rear. This gives you the ratio. For instance, 20:20 would a ratio of one. That means for every one time you pedal around, the wheel goes round once.

You basically use it to find out what cog sizes to use when you have to change either size. For instance, if you are running 22 tooth at the front and are changing to freewheel, but want to keep the same ratio, you use that calculator to play around and find the closest one.

OR you could do this:

number of teeth on front chainring X diameter of wheel then divide that answer by the numbe rof teeth on your rear sproket........all the way from the "BCF" handbook. woo woo. iv only posted it as iv had it out today to work sumot great out!!!a must to see........keep your eyes peeled on "waynios bike" haha

how are you supposed to measure the daimeter of the wheel, in cm's, mm's, inches or groats?
