tryallmaster
Hi I am looking for a new trials frame. At the moment i'm riding a pashley its a bit too heavy though. I want something lighter and snappier if you know what I mean!!! Thanks, Lewis

matthewholdsworth
pashley is about as snappy as you'll get if ur wanting street style bunny hops etc because its arelatively short frame. i do actually like the ride feel of the echo control (04 model) think its nice in the 1065 length i find it very sluggish to pull up to bunny hop though. i ride a pashley 26ghz at the moment and yes they are relatively heavy but it does depend a lot on your component choice. the frame itself is bang on 5lbs which is lgihter than the alu t-rex (by 2lbs i think), the front end of mine is very light with echo hi-fi forks ex721 on hope xc wheel azonic dw bars and hope stem (90mm). back end is heavier this is due to the tyre (tioga fat 66 pro thingy) and the DH tube i got in there. it isnt much heavier than a couple of my mates bikes (zoo pitbull 04 and control 04) one final point is that different geometry can make the bike feel lighter, before gettin a new frame try a longer stem and wider bars (eg brisa) this helped me on my orange zero, gave more balance and leverage. Tony Harrison
Checked again. My Stanley tape measure still says 1055mm, measured both sides with brand new forks/headset and frame. Only too heavy if you're weak or have put shite heavy components on it. mr ailsbury
The 05 echo control rides like sex! they're £299 on tarty bikes (Y) I'd go for that if I was you because of the fact that they ride so damn nice!, Very light aswell. The Onza T-Rex could also be a good choice aswell because they also ride like the sex, not too heavy either and are only £249 off tarty. Jeza
Get them all (Y) Im not trying to start an arguement at all but I dont really think this will help him, As you are riding a pashley with little or no bb rise i would go for something like an older zoo pitbull or a echo control because they havent got as much bb rise as the newly brought out frames. hope this helps Jeza Edited October 22, 2005 by Jeza
