minitrialer Posted October 20, 2005 Report Share Posted October 20, 2005 so yes?...because like 3.5 or whatever will have a small depth of field and let in a lot of light, and like 22 will not let in much light but will have a large depth of field, needing a slower shutter speed, hence why photographers who photograph landscapes use tripods, thats the way i understood it, please correct me if i am wrong, but thats the way i interpreted it. Small aperture = large depth of field but less light, so you have to compensate by increasing the exposure time.
