Thom
looking for a wider rim and came across the syncros DSP. Meant for DH/freeride, 32mm wide, looks to have a braking surface and comes in sweet white. You think it's worth a try ? anyone use these rims? Zoo_Monkey
looks heavy and cumbersome - plus where is the braking surface? i assume this is a back wheel so you will have to get it ground unless you run a rear disk. i posted a while back about rear rims - vredict was a Onza Ronnie, strong wide and cheap. what was the idea behind the syncross? Thom
well the rim is 685 g so the weight is similar to a D521 and yeah your right you'll have to grind it but thats not not a problem really.
Mark W
32mm isn't a "wide" rim though? Compared to, say, the Try-All/Echo rims, or the Onza rims?
orangezero
yeah go for it they might turn out to be good.
Thom
32mm isn't a "wide" rim though? Compared to, say, the Try-All/Echo rims, or the Onza rims? yeah true but compared to my mavic EX721 its pretty wide. Might give it a go, they cost about the same as the mavic though so hopefully it's decent
Brian Bleech
yeah true but compared to my mavic EX721 its pretty wide. Might give it a go, they cost about the same as the mavic though so hopefully it's decent they cost about twice as much here, I looked at one for my 24"! but can't really afford £50 for a rim, when i can get a ryhno lite xl for half the price. mike
