Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

just bought some azonic double wall bars, after looking at DH reviews they seem pretty strong. How many of you have used them for trials and were there any problems? I got them at a decent price so im happy anyway.

Cheers.

The rise and sweep was god back when I used them, back about 5 years ago when I used to used them, Ive snapped 2 pairs, also snapped some single walls, but I think the single walls where stronger, but they where the strongest bars knocking about back then.

They where also flexy but they are always going to be if your not using the 31.8 diameter bar centre.

over 4 years i have had about 10 sets.. DW's and pyrimids.. broke all of them ...well except for one pair that was strange, it outlasted all the other bars by loads (must be about 3 years old now!), and is weak as fooook, it flexes like 2" up or down and bends on every bigish moove, but you just bend them back ..they just dont want to snap!! (Y) there still in action, now on my mates bike, i gave them to him like 2 years ago and have been bending them back to shape for the last year!!

But neway, i then tryed some onza carbon bars on my bike.. and i that was it! the azonics havnt been on my bike since! they are sooo much better than azonics, for stiffness and control.

Buy some, they are the nicest bars for feel, they have a great warrenty aswell, if you break them within 5 years which isnt really hard, mine broke in couple months, but you can just get another set on warrenty. Either those or some eastons, they are alot stiffer and mine havent broke yet.

I have some on my Kona. They do feel *really* nice, when I snapped the Eastons on my trials bike and switched it round they felt pretty good for trials, nowhere near as good as for FR, but now I have Onza carbon risers and have to say they feel twice as good.

Problem is the feel of bars is very much personal preference, lots of differentials like length of arms, hands fingers and width of shoulders etc.

Seeing as you've got them now you may as well just ride 'em til they snap. ^_^
