wayneone
Right my bb has started to click... Whoa take your finger off the reply button! I know i need to grease it up, But i was wondering what tools i need, What kind of grease, And where to get said tools(best ones). I was going to use castrol low mature grease will this be ok. I have basic tools such as hex keys and spanners. Also what parts off the bb do i have to grease up? will i have to take it out of the frame or will i get away with just taking the cranks off? And finaly any basic tutorials/hits/tips?
llandudno_trialsboy
if it keeps clicking then you will have to replace it with a new bb. I think castrol grease should be ok to use. But if it is loose then you'll have to buy a bb tool. Select bike should have one.

kick-this
hey! Just go to your LBS and buy the following things crank extractor, (approved) bike grease and a bb tool ( to go with your bb of course) :S remove your cranks, then take the cup off the NON! freewheel/sprocket side and put some grease on the inside of the cup and on the thread (not a lot) Then remove the freewheel/sprocket side making sure you remove the old grease as your go. Now put some grease on the freewheel/sprocket side thread (not a lot ) then put it all back together in the backwards order that you took it apart ( don't be afraid of making sure things are tight! ) And finally make sure your cranks are tight ( no1 main cause! ) And there you go :P
