pogonation
Hi, I just bought a chris king bmx hub(36 hole) and I went to airevalley today to buy a 36hole koxx rim but they don't keep them in stock so I was wondering if it is possible to lace it onto a 32h hole koxx rim that I have allready because I can't wait to get it running. Is it possible to do this and would it make it significantly weaker or anything?? :S
Danny
You can but it isnt recommended. Especially with such an expensive hub.
tipsy Jock
Yeah you really don't want to rip the hub flanges off one of them :S
Whiteboy
wouldnt do it. i did it on my front rim but didnt stay true for long. would just come out of true too easy and that was on the front! dont fo it it. just wait till you get the 36h, play it safe. will be stronger and less expensive in the long run. shovel
just be patient and order the 36 rim, running it with 32 will void your warranty, put unwanted strain on the hub and you'll feel like a tool when it gets damaged
Tony Harrison
No no no. Don't. Just wait and get a 36H rim ordered. It'll be better in the long run.
