trialsguru
snapped another hanger today and its made me think about getting a fresh tensioner but if got a few questions for people that use them. with the roller being made of rubber do you get any feedback through the bike from the chain rubbing on it? also with it not having a spring if you land on the chain between the bash and tyre does it damage the chain at all because it doesnt move? hope that makes sense pete
Tomm
If you land on it or on the chain, it will move.
Todge
What I find tends to happen is not much. Between your bashguard and your chainstay is barely any room anyway, and there is always a tiny bit of slack in the chain anyway. Its a Nylon roller too btw, no rubber. I gaurantee you will not snap another mech hanger when one of these tensioners too :turned:
RobinJI
The only other question I have thought of is that it doesnt look like the chainline is adjustable, so does it oftern requier bodging if you want to run it closer to the dropout? downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
I gaurantee you will not snap another mech hanger when one of these tensioners too :turned: What if i smack it with a 8KG mallet? (Y) you should design a little small funky one, to be used on a mod, im sick of my chain coming loose and my rear wheel missaligning lol
Ben Geary
this may sound stupid but as the tensioner is so close up to the chain stay is it agro to get the wheel in and out all the time or do you just unset the tesioner then reset it back up. thanks for any help ben :turned:

Danny
you should design a little small funky one, to be used on a mod I friend of mine made this when he destroyed his chain tugs.
James_Porter
you wont snap a hanger with it. it wont move unless you propperly land on it with ALL your weight. just get some spacers and space the rear cog so its inline, its really not hard. loffa
It will move pretty easily if you land on it or your chain gets caught, atleast when used with a qr, not funbolts. Atleast mine does, tough mine isn't a fresh one, but it is a pretty much exact copy of rennen. Cnc'd by my mate who works at a cnc machining shop. Pics to follow soon..
