Waynio
dave gave me one this weekend :P :) thanx very much. its a very good idea, and it would be nice to see alot of trials riders with them while out on group rides and such forth. Waynio.......................... and dave. FFS its for cancel lad, do you not even know the lance armstrong story???? its like the DJ band so put it back on! this guy has come through different cancel around his body than you have had bloody bikes in the last 6months!!!!which is alot :S Lance is a benchmark to anyone!!!!i didnt understand it at all and then my boss gave me his book to read a year or 2 ago and it was very interesting and quite a sad story and the guy is a legend!!! big respect to lance! Tony Harrison
Yeah, it's stupid that people with those bands don't even know who he is. How can you not know who he is? Everyone knows names like Tiger Woods, Pete Sampras and Lenox Lewis. Much respect to Lance, look what you can achieve with determination... Waynio
mike im mainly saying to dave about the lance armstrong one. to me thats the most important band, as like snappel is saying it shows the courage and sheer determination of someone who has had to under go so much yet with all the determination he was STILL able to win the TDF like 7times :S Waynio..................... RicH_87
I know no-one cares what i think but I'm not gonna bother and here's why. I got tierd of wearing the other ones becasue they lost their meaning, everyone had them on for stupid things in the end, like "stop oil slicks" or some other completely uncontrollable danger, me included. I got sucked in at first and thought they were for a good cause (bullying and lance armstrongs) but eventually they became a symbol of shallowness and ignorance (for me anyway). No-one knows this one says Bike Trials until you get within 30cm's of it so it'll still look like any other novelty band. Its a nice idea, and it's a great effort by adam and dave to do this, but i'd much prefer if it was a unique design or maybe something different like a sweatband or something, however i also understand costs and what not and why that would be impossible. Basically i don't want one because of what it is, for me these bands have become a symbol of something that i personally don't want to represent, and i don't think most trials riders are like that, infact quite the opposite (sound, freindly, honest people i would hope). It's a nice idea, and usually i'd keep my virtual mouth shut, but it's not for me and that's why.

Tony Harrison
Wear a blue one to show you're pure BIU Red for UCI :S I think the idea is to bring riders together as one instead of fuelling the divides - I mean, we all ride bikes, right? i could but i did that all night last night and for an hour or so this morning so i';m really not sure i have the energy for any more corruption just yet Tom you slag, it's no wonder you're never out on your bike! Exactly what i think :S I don't see making people aware of trials as a bad thing, but i still wouldn't wear one because of the whole band idea... I'm all for sweat bands, but these charity bands are a big no no imo.

Urpedigreechumdog
maybe sweatbands with 'biketrials' on them is a good idea :S At least the wording 'biketrials' would be visible from further away than a foot. And i'd be willing to pay for a sweatband. And they are practical for riding.
Tomm
yes because thats so in the thinking of the whole idea :S I think the idea is to bring riders together as one instead of fuelling the divides - I mean, we all ride bikes, right? Obviously I didn't get the sarcasm right :) As for the wristbands, if you want to wear one, do it. If you don't like the idea, don't moan about people that do, that's about as clever as the old morons who moan at us for riding bikes like idiots. I guess Adam and Dave have some slight ulterior motives behind this, but hey, it's business. Chill out everyone :P
yoyoyo
Might sound stupid but is an envelope ok to send for the sae or does it need to be a parcel thing. And do you still have any left.
Tom Booth
How many people wearing yellow Livestrong bands even know who Lance Armstrong is? Why is totally important to know who lance armstrong is, im not 100% sure (i know hes a tour de france rider and has won it on multiple ocassions but thats all i know) i wear one to support the cause as at the start of the year i lost an uncle through cancer. So stop being an arse :S Im all for the biketrials bands, look preety good to me, as said it would be cool if they wear an origional design/colour, but meh, only so many designs you can do before going overboard. Simon
If thats the case, what colour do xWxYxCx riders wear?? I like to think orange, or black, with white letters :S Ill have to find an envolope LEE!? Us xWxYxCx riders are to lazy to even find an envelope, let alone send it off. Represent Lee, REPRESENT! :) A nice idea, but i can see everyone is coming from for the points against them. However, their free except postage, so i don't really see a problem. :P
JT!
Surely the point of these bands is that it brings riders together, and crosses boundaries of types of riding. Trials sometimes seems like there are UCI riders, BIU riders, street riders, 20" riders, 26" riders, 24" riders... We're all just riders at the end of the day so why not come together and realise that. You give two reasons for a DJ one. I can understand for rememberance, but what's the other? If they're free though, you can't really loose with these. How do people wearing a band bring trials riders together? :S And for the DJ thing the family get money for the memorial garden etc, aswell as the rememberance. Don't know how much money has been spent on the bands, but maby the money should have been spent on a big ride somewhere like addingham moorside or something like that and have a BBQ or something. That would 'bring trials riders' together in a more literal way.
