FLATOUTSTYLE
As I said I want a new frame, I ride a 26mhz which I think may be too short, People have been saying the new style zoo, echos etc will be no gud for me, but I think a shorter version, eg 1060 zoo or 1065 echo with a normal riser bar and 90mm stem setup on would work just fine? That sound about right?? With a nice short back end it may feel better than a long back end as I have now............... Surley if these new bikes feel great on the back wheel, then hopup manuals etc must be a breeze??? tipsy Jock
I reckon an echo pure would suit you pretty well. A control, Pitbull not so great even the short versions. I've got a short pitbull and its miles away from my mates leeson 24 in terms of geometry.

chrishayton
Pures look crap though, I cant believe that the geo makes that much diff in terms of what moves u can do on the bike well you would be wrong there. on my friends leeson you can do all the manually trick stuff on it no probs, yet on my levelboss or my vinco its is ridiculously hard to even bunnyhop. geo makes a HUGE difference to how a bike rides, why dont you get out there and try a few bikes? im sure people at a comp wont mind you having a little go, i know i wunt, all you gota do is start chatting to them

Sam Nichols
Why not just get a Norco then? If you do that type of riding then it makes sense! And as for Wayne... Last time I saw a video he was picking up his bike and slamming it against rocks, tosser :turned: So I wouldn't say he has an aggressive style I'd just say he is an aggressive person (thinking the dreaded C word here, ends in a V)

Cant stand people who throw their bikes around when they cant do sumet, just makes them look stupid. Saw a few people at comps doing it, just makes them look like knobs....Childish knobs A Norco is even shorter than my bike AND you cant get em in the UK...so thats a problem....But I do like them and they are designed for sus forks so maybe a good idea.... Have to consider that...Maybe... Maybe a short echo control 05...... hm...........? As for the longer new style bike thing, its not just the advantages of a longer frame with a short back end for back wheel action Im thinking about, its the stiff rear brakes with the cnc stuff welded on AND the fact you can run a mega WIDE rim on the back which will give great grip at the back, and disc forks with a hope mini on to give a great front brake too.... And they look kool as too.... Edited October 16, 2005 by FLATOUTSTYLE

FLATOUTSTYLE
Not getting any closer to a decision, Had a look at some1s echo 04 control before, didnt look that odd, 1060 wheel base, couldnt ride it as the back tyre was flat, shame because I really wana have a shot with a new style bike and see what they feel like

nmt_oli
I think you should definately see if you can get a norco (or similar, maybe elsworth- but there also expensive, along the price of curtis) shipped over as it would suit you. you need a bike thats somewhere inbetween a Dj/street bike and a trials bike, ie an american style trials bike. other wise maybe look at some of the lighter Dj frames around, although now there going a bit bmx style the slightly older ones might suit you. Wayne, a chav? Don't be f**king stupid. He's one of the few riders here that actually rides for fun and doesn't bitch about everyone else, he doesn't tell people what they should and shouldn't do and he certainly isn't a chav. How many other people on this forum have such a positive attitude to the sport? I'd say Wayne rides as aggressively as Akrigg (who isn't a chav either). trialridertom
Right now people lets get one thing straight now Wayne is certanetly NOT A FEKIN CHAV i have rode wi him for ages and i can asure u he is an aggresive rider and has a big crack at anything he sees in his path wen he is ridin but bloody hell Wayne a chav seriouslet mate i think you need to get your head sorted owt + i just think u lot are bloody jelous because ur not half as gs as him :P Edited October 20, 2005 by trialridertom
Waynio
LMAO! i know who knows me well then eh??? haha. i ride LIKE akrigg as he influences me as we ride together alot. i threw my bike like years ago. its going to be going back about 4 years!!!!! haha. so far in th past i had forgotton about it but well done for bringing it bak up :P a koxx levelboss 1065 is the way to go if you want something strong and something that is still moveable really well. anyway boys if you think im a chav so be it, just when you know me and think differently let me know. i love this chav malarky, in fact it was only a few months ago i kicked 2 chavs head in as one of them tried wacking chris walker with a long plank of wood with 4" nails in, and the other started on my little cousin. so in all fairness if you cant beat them join em :P dont worry boys i wont take any of this to heart as like snappel has said, im in it for fun and enjoy riding my bike, my job is working with bikes and i enjoy what i have and what friends choose to ride with me, some post on a forum aint going to make me want to go up into my bedroom and han myself outta the window. oh and if you check the gallery you may see some pictures of me in there on a mod from the london bike show this weekend, i wear loose clothing to help with flexibility, not to look chavtastic. Waynio............................... for the people who do know me and how i ride, the way i look at things are different to others as you have to be different from other riders so looking at obstacles in different ways is the aim of the game. make it hard for yourself........ :P

Waynio
there are some pictures on the koxx website, if you go to www.koxx.co.uk then to the french site then to "galleries" on the right hand side there is a column with a gallery of me in there, see if i dress like a chav and if i ride my bike like one :P you told me to fix your brake ali :P i hit it with a big hammer a few times and now its well fixed!!! all i gotta do is remember to take it to the next trial for you. akriggs style is "independant" to himself, i ride with him so i am influenced to ride like him but i could not replicate anything he does cos he has a certain way of going about how he does things a way that no other rider will ever be able to do. amen! i shud have a video out on here at some point, so you could possibly watch that if you young fellows wish to. also to let you all know its a good job you werent at the cycle show in london on sunday after the indoor trial had finished!!!! there was like 4/5 lunatics throwing their bikes over a wall and into bushes!!!!! that is suicidal man. altho it did seem a good larf and i couldnt stop laffing for about half an hour like. Waynio......................... NEW Koxx Levelboss............... its as streety as you make it. its deffinatly strong enough anyway. Waynio.......................
