Hobnobs
You dont need an adapter, buy the 180mm mount from wiggle i think, its 8 quid. Then get a mono trial rotor from tarty in 180mm B)
Whiteboy
the ones for the avid arm are for 185s but the disk i am looking at is a 180. so really only got to questions: will the hayes + 20mm adapter work with my avid? also has anyone any experiances withe the avid a2z rotoe? which is better v2 or v3. thanks. flipkickbs
There are plenty of spacers on the avid BB7's. The same ones that are on most vee brake pads. Remove those, or replace them for slightly smaller ones, so reduce it by 2.5mm, and it'll be fine on a 180mm disk. Just remember those spacers are there to ensure you get a decent alignment between the pads and the rotor. Ensure you can still set it up straight! Otherwise, it'll be fine. :P Fatmike on ians account. B) Edited October 15, 2005 by flipkickbs
Whiteboy
the only reason im asking about the adapter is that i have been offered one for very cheap well cheaper than an arm would be. so wopuld it work? and anyone bout disks? Hobnobs
A 180 adapter works on 180 and 185 discs, ive tried, no adjustment neccesary. The avid thing is going to be better (lighter, cheaper) than the hayes adapter, and getting an adapter overcomplicates the situation really. The bracket will work with any rotor which is between 180-185.
