RyanRs
Nooooooo! have you purchased the frame yet?? if not, Dont buy it!! its the most horrid frame in the world!! its got a wheelbase of about 990 and you need to be a bodybuilder to keep the thing on the back wheel, even if the bike weighs no more than a square of carbon fibre toilet roll! they are strong though. nmt_oli
I can get what frame i like :P Plus ive liked zeros when ive ridden them in the past, and know 3 people who have had them in the past and rode damn well on them. :- Plus, its got to be better than a 2002 saracen mad!!!! , and a lot better than no bike at all, which is my current situation since the saracen got nicked. :ermm:

(i use maggys now) i then swapped a shite mission reffa frame for a dented but otherwise good working zero 13 months ago... i can ride the bike very well, and i have the best possible setup on mine to make the thing ride as smooth and light as poss.... i no quite a few people with them and they all recon mine rides the nicest to ride and control, but it still .. the thing is a TANK! quite a few people on the london ride and at one of the comps had a go of my zero -people with echos, zoos etc and they could barely control a kick hop, my bike weighs absolutly nothing, but once its on the backwheel, its soo short it feels like the front weighs 2 tonne!! I can tap (my higest) 52"... and it is such an effort... it feels like you are goning to face plant the wall before you even tap the wheel, you have to put everything you have got into lifting the thing up so as you dont fall back once on the wall.... then i see people with long bikes , just cruise upto a wall ,hit the front and viola, there on top of it, no effort... and belive me, its not just me, i have tryed it when i borrowed a long frame for a day, and it was soo much less effort! this is not a dig! just friendly , past (and present) experience related advice.. dont want u to waste ur money Edited October 14, 2005 by RyanRs
nmt_oli
Ok, thanks for your advise, but i will see how it goes, since pretty much everything is ordered or has already arrived now (bar rear brake and chain tensioner). Im still learning, and want to try a short frame for a while as i have a short framed jump bike which i really like (did use it for trials for a while, but BB is far to low as its designed for sus). it hasnt cost me that much money compared to the rest of the setup, so maybe i will get a new frame for next summer if i don't get on with the orange, right now im just very pissed off about having no bike after just getting back into trials and this was the best deal on a frame that came up, and matched the kind of thing i wanted. Im not saying your wrong, im just saying let me give it a go! everyone has personal preferences when it comes to bikes. Im not a tall guy, and i like to ride street, so a short frame would suit me better for manualing and bunny hops. If i don't like it, i don't like it, but my opinion of a bike will almost certainly be different to yours.
