UPDATED BIKE WANTED...........DUNO WHICH ONE.........

im 6'4 and hav rid a pashley since 2000....my 3rd......i broke 2 and am on my 3rd.... its is a very short bike for my height and i am considerin a change.... thinkin it may help me..... the short pashley might b cramping my style so to speak.....limiting me....i ride aggressive street style...kinda leech stuff.....manuals... 180s...360s....fast. technical.....etc.. im lookin at a bike that would be suitable...... i never even thought about wheelbases wen i got my pashley.... it was a trials bike and that was it..just ride... i never considered the wheelbase....until i saw these maD comp bikes popping up recently....the norco is even shorter so thats off the list...........Im after sumet a bit longer....thats strong.....that would giv me more room to move... i can get a really cheap echo pure...... or i like the new Toxsin ONE frames...duno if they r any good...just lookin for sumet longer..... with stays around 385mm and over... nothin crazy like 375mm!! any ideas......???????????

If you read my post bak to it.....my story is on there........But basically i want a new frame...

toxsin are great frame, BUT are not aggresive street frames and won't excell at the type of riding its sounds like you wanna do.

The echo pure, if you can find a one (a 1060 one would be best) would be a good frame. I don't know much about the Norcos. A pashley 26Ghz would be good too or maybe a Curtis. or a Base TA26 (you have to run a proper seatpost with them)

How much are you looking to spend.

FLATOUTSYLE are you ALLORNOWT? Your typing style matches perfectly, and your questions were both the same about the new bikes and how you ride a short bike you think is perhaps a bit too small.

Just enquiring(sp?).

Same name too. What a coincidence (Y)

il never buy another pashley because they have jerked me around so so much over the past few years and they have the very worst warranty policy i have ever known. Totally shite, anyway Echo pures look a bit cheapo??? I think Id wreck it.

I dont wana spend a fortune, just looking at the zoo's etc and the prices have came right down so have the ashton frame. £300 should get a decent frame?

Has to be TOUGH, I like the Norco Moment and also like the idea of sus forks but I think that would be even worse for me as its only 1017 long!

A think a Curtis would be no diff to what I have now. There are 1020mm (22.5" TT) / 1035mm (23" TT) with 72 headangle. A Pashley 26mhz is 1030mm ish with a 72 head so pointless getting one really. The Norco wouldnt be either, shorter yes but same kinda shape, long stays and short front. 72 head angle. Im after sumet that feels fresh when I get on it and feels comfortable. Also the Curtis is £549 !!!!!!! OucH!

i would personally get a planet-x zebidi or planet-x pitbull. both bloody strong and ride like gods and the pitbull has so much strengh, so you will try anything like i used to but then i got boring and stoped riding for a while.

hmm not sure, not that keen on them really, im getting frustrated now, I want a new frame but theres NOTHING out there suitable for me...JJJJJJEEEEEEEEEEEEESus ,I need some ideas

Just saw pix of the new ADAMANT A1 in matt black......Woah....luks awesome!

Probly no good for me thought, i duno

Why cant you ride street style on a modern comp style/shape bike? Hop up manuals, rail balance lines, bollard gaps, 180s, 180 ups, front wheel pivots, bunnyhops, thats what I ride. I mean why not, people say hoooo no you want a short frame for that. Im just considering a new frame but theres not many street style bikes out there, all the hype seems to be about the modern designs like Echo, ZOO, etc etc

Trials in my opinion should not be pigeon holed into ' Street/bmx style and Strictly Comp style' Trials spans further than just 2 styles so I would have thought a new style bike would be good for anything and everything. Am I totally wrong and off the mark here or what? Anybody agree?

I think its for comfort, personally.

But it could just be the opinion of a Balkanized individual.

Lovin' that (N) . I ride the exact same as you(well i plan to when i master it all) I ride the new mad 05 but im 5,10 so might not be best suited for you.

Exact same as me huh??? Well I cant have that, I will have to change my style totally.....5'10! Mad aint no good for me Im afraid, Im a rough git and Id smash it...

hi there why dont u get a echo control 2005 1065 wheelbase would be sound seeing as u want a short frame and a strong frame.

Well I didnt say 'I want a short frame' BUT, I know what you mean. The control was the first new type I looked at as I thought 'Wow that looks kool', again BUT, The thing is I want a frame that will stretch me out slightly but still be able to throw about like a rag doll, I want a bit of breathing room as Im 6'4 and feel the pashley might be cramping my style, so to speak, I guess what is important here is a feeling of room in the front triangle of the frame...You see?

Well not EXACTLY so to speak but i like all the streety stuff, I ride a few rocks near me(the ones they put down so pikeys cant drive onto feilds)But there not what i would call proper natural.

I know exactly what you mean, I do ride rocks but ones on the shore, sea defense stuff.... Street is where my interest lies..

Looking at echo control on the echo website, Im just reading about the Urban forks, it says 400mm fork blades, offer a low stem position. why would a low stem postion be better suited to street style riding? Thought a higher stem would be better? Also will these forks work with the echo control frame????

I have a mate you rides an 2005 pitbull 1060 and does bunnyhops, manuals, 180s, 360s, etc as well as normal trials - put a shortish (90-100) stem, make the front end fairly high and put some risers on it :ermm: - they are strong bikes, look at what tunni puts his through.

its a shame that you won't get a pashley again, because the new ones really are nice and perfect for what you wanna do

Not a shame to me, they are total arseholes. If the factory burnt down I would :-

How talls your mate wid the zoo 1060??? I think they might be too short for me in that size, I need to know the top tube length so I can compare with my bike, thats the only way I can get an idea. They have a longer wheelbase and a very short back end but mine is opposite to that.....Long back short front but is the longer wheelbase anything to do with the headangle more than the top tube, ie the head angle on my pashley is 72 so a 71 would feel diff. Would that give more room or less...Would slow the feel of the steering up also?

A steeper angle would make the top tube longer but the wheel base shorter and slack make the toptube shorter and wheelbase longer........? BUT then I wonder how that is affected by the BB height, the higher the BB the more over the front u feel so the less room you have? Anyone know what I mean?
