It Was Inevitable - iPod Video

average in my book, and just another thing to break on the already delicate ishod.

plus videos on the go aren't as great as they sound, maybe the odd trials vid or maybe a family guy episode might be handy now and again, but from my experience (psp) you just wanna chill to music on a journey rather than skwint at a tiny screen.

*yawn*

Ah well, they'll probably struggle to find a new way to milk the crap out of the iPod line.

On the plus side, it'll be awesome to go to the more affluent parts of cities and see loads of people trying to show off their new iPods whilst walking into stuff (Y)

I bet Apple already have this shit planned out and are just drip-feeding it into the marketplace to keep generating interest in their products. I mean, it's not like it's a f**king massive technical jump from iPods with photo technology to video technology? Yet it's been ages since the iPod Photo was released.

Who needs to carry 150 hours of videos with them anyway (Y)

And it still won't be as good as the iRiver h3*0 (unfortunate choice of name aside), which has been playing video for ages as well as coming in snazzy carbon fibre effect.

I still don't understand the point of support for photos without making the device a USB host. Then it might be a bit more useful!

With a bit of effort they could have been supporting video practically from the start, but that wouldn't have been a very good long term business plan really. Need to keep all the trendy kids buying new models every year!

Because the 'tech specs' seem quite lacking in any real technical data; does anyone know what the hardware specs (chip, memory, etc) of the new iPods are?

Speaking of which, I wonder if Mod661 wants to take his nano back and get one of these, after returning his iPod Photo 'cause the nano came out (Y)

Still dont see the point in 60gb, no one, NO ONE!! would fill it, only people who work as a music producer, but still how annoying would it be trauling through 25000 songs to find one.

Dont be stupid, even i could fill that easily. And theres always the search feature for finding tracks (Y)

Although even a colour screen seams pointless to me, and its too small to comfortably watch anything worthwhile

Cheers

As you can put video on it, you could easily fill 60Gb. Plus some people use them for files and backup and stuff too, it's pretty easy to see how you could fill it up.
