my pistons siezed up today on it, i have only had it a month. it was the first ride i had on it in the propper soaking wet, the wetness surely couldnt have done this though??? i have riden it loads before but not in super duper wetness.

the other kid with one in swindon has done the same but not as bad.

was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem??????

im ringing hope tomorrow before anyone says "ring hope you ginger twat" so F**K off.

just wondered if anyone else other than us two in swindon and waynios has done it...and plus im board.

Send it off to Hope where they will fix it free, then put it on ebay and buy an Avid Juicy 7.

no, if i was to get a different disc i will get a avid.

lee *im a* butcherman just told me there was a bad batch or summat that had faulty pistons????? i will send it back to hope and get it sorted, hope are heavy (Y)

the problem hope have been having is the seals going dry, this is not really a major problem, the thing they recommmended peopel to do was to take the pads out then spray a little lubricant around the pistons then pump the lever slightly, not so much that the pistons fall out though, then return the pistons to the home position, re-fit the pads and all being well they should be ok,

if all else fails send the brake back to hope,

Ive used the brakes for bout 3 months + now n still havnt had any problems with them. Im running double disc as well.

well played BUT your only part time! :) only kiddin walker.

i put dot 4 around mine and its been spot on since, only thing is i contaminated the pads after putting them back in the dot 4 must have dripped onto the disc, serves me right for putting too much on (Y) :P

But yes there a bugger to get out when there seized i was telling porter yesterday it took 2 of us at work one to hold the screw driver as the other pumped the lever.

im off to their new factory tomorrow morning to check the shizwak out

Waynio...................

cheers for that bro :) well i just had a good focin gander on the beast and i lubed the piston things or whever they are called which didnt make a difference however i did see that my pads are worn ar angles so im guessing if the caliper is pushing on the brake at a angle it would be very for it to return as it would be wedged in kinda thing anyway irl see how it goes tomorrow me new pads should be here tomorrow but i aint putting them on this shit viz disk so it will be more waiting to get me mono disk replaced... at worst i guess irl wack me old brake on untill i have all the new parts.

ye but i think the dude meant that if the pads had worn "cock eyed" he would need to face the mount but in theory just needs new pads (Y):) because the previous person may not have had the mount faced on his forks therefore his pads are pete tong :(:Plol!!!!

with regards to the disc, if the pads have worn at an angle if you get new pads that may sort it :) if your disc mount is "square" putting them on say your "faced off" forks means the pads wont work right well, but if the pistons are cockled the brake will have a weird feel to it, like the lever will "click" or "tick" when the pads are pushed out, real weird like. but im sure you will get it sorted soon enuff :D

the way you could try eliminate it would be to. lube pistons and push them back in square (all the way back) pump brake on and push them back again to make sure there moving ok, new pads and align it on your forks and try it. see where it gets you.

if you have any problems post up what they are and il try help you solve it
