Joe_Elding
HI, what year is your frame?, I've got the latest edition without holes in the headtube and i also can't get the bottom bracket out. Yet theres only been one in there so i doubt its crossthreaded? Joe
Siders77
If it has Thread Lock on it then boil the kettle and pore (That doesn't look right (Y) ) it over the BB and that should soften it and it will be easier to get out. :P

maggins
Christ I can't get this f*ckin thing out for love or money. It won't even budge the slightest. I've tried kettle, DW40 and some release oil and it still won't budge. The slits are really starting to wear down fast now :P It's prooving an absolutely biatch to get out (Y) Anyone else with any ideas? I am trying to turn the bb clockwise, is this right? Cheers Jack
nb88
Driveside is opposite thread, non-driveside is normal. Have you tried bolting the tool down onto the BB? so that it doesnt slip. If you've done that then you could lock the BB tool in a vice, and use the frame as a 'lever' to try and get it out. I had the same problem a while ago but couldnt be bothered with the hassle, so i let my LBS do it :P and they didnt charge me either (Y)
