Mitch A
How does the wheelbase affect the riding? Such as whats different between the Yao Zhi Zoo! python and the CLS? Cheers Mitch (Y)
Houseface
some people say that there is no difference, its only the hight that counts of the rider. others say that short wheelbases are for more streety kind of riders as they are easy to pull up/flick around and long wheel bases are for more natural/static kind of riders.(am i right??) hope this helps, steve. The second part is right, and the first part is kind of right. I supposed a longer bike would be more comfortable than some stupid short bike for a tall person, but Mark who's like 8'7 or something used to ride a mod with a sub 1000mm wheelbase, so it can't be all that important. But yeah, shorter frames are usually more associated with more streety style riding.
durkadurka
i ride a 1085 and its long! when ridin smaller wheelbases i find it real hard to gap as i am used to the 'space' between me and my bars.
Waynio
longer is better........... i can actually hold my hand up, or should i phrase it longer you can go bigger, as things seem smaller. sidehops and gaps and taps are just some of many things that are easier on a slightly longer bike but depends what you call long.
