manxrider
Ok where to start. Well I know there is lots of topics on Bleeding brakes with water. I think I know what to do but I don't want to risk it , so what i've got so far: 1.Take brakes off and put in Bath or what ever undo the the bolt that one. 2. Right this is where I get stuck, do I undo any bolts on the actual brake or not 3. once you've done what ever you need to do Pump on the lever until no more bubbles come out? 4. redo bolts under water making sure no water gets in. Things I'm not sure on 1. I take it you empty The oil out thats in there first if so where from. 2.Actully i'm stuck on most of it. Sorry about this i've used search and thats what I've managed to pick up. Also on the fist picture is the bolt with arrow pointing towards it the tpa or is the red twizzerly bit? Thanks for help, Kris
PaRtZ
Although I've not bled an 05. Im pretty sure that the indicated bolt is for the lever blade only? with the 04's theres a allen key bleed screw inside lever body. Is there 2 holes in the body, one with the hose, the other seems to have no reason? if so its there EDIT: I can see it now there is a bleed allen bolt, in the recess of the lever body, next to the actual hose. Its reall tiny. That needs to be taken out too Edited October 9, 2005 by PaRtZ
Simpson
That bolt will just do your lever blade where that hose goes in the 1 above it you need to get an allen in there and take a nut out 1st
manxrider
Is that the only one I take out, Then let the oil drain out?
Swize
Theres so may of thease topics there all simple to understand. (Y) Clean all the old oil out etc ect . Then take every hose off the cylinders and lever undo bouth bleed bolts then chuck everything in the bath. Tap everything with a spanner or something and make sure there no air in any of the parts then what i do is suck water throught the hose (you problie won't want to but i find it better than tapping the hose). Pump the lever a few times and then tap again. Then rebuild the hole brake under water making sure no parts re emerg, once everything is built up take it out the water and if you have done it right heho ur brakes bled with water.
