TrashZen
Yeap, erm Just crashed badly this morning , exploding my chin (Y) (well initially the gnarly corner was aiming for a complete face rework and teeth removal :P , but as I was seeing the harsh reality coming towards me, I lifted the head as much as I could and the chin took the full blast, blood all over my nice frame and 6 free stitches courtesy of NHS B)). Since the first big face plant I had years ago, I was thinking, maybe a full helmet would be wise, then, couldn't be arsed with heavy load on my head plus you can't see properly where you rear wheel lands. Then I am thinking again, are there plastic cups you can strap into the helmet leads (just to cover the chin)? then with a visor, that would cover pretty much the whole face, wouldn't it? Just thinking... :P Any ideas?
STEVE-0
Sounds crap! Just get a GIRO semi-MX! About as full face as you want for trials anything more just wouldnt work, you would end up crashing alot more! Learn not to crash (Y) Or dont try stuff you cant do :P :P
matthewholdsworth
after a slight rearrangement o my face last year, knocking teeth out and paying £550 to get em fixed up i stil ride in an XC lid, full face seems overkill to me and surely itll get in your sight lines for certain sections. just go out riding as soon as you can to get your confidence up again and u wont worry so much just my thoughts anyway
yoyoyo
Try an get a strap with the fighter pilot knda chin things, dunno if you can get em but it could be worth a shot, not the big mask but the littleish things on the chin

ZeroMatt
Get one of these beasts, its like a xc helmet with a removeable chin protection bit.Met Parachute
ScotchDave
Avoid MET Parachutes like the plague, I've seen a lad with the plastic from them lodged in his chin, really nasty and it was a fairl low speed accident. If you can find a GIRO switchblade they were better.
TrashZen
im quite looking forward to seeing this in person. maybe you should grow a goatee :- Excellent... , well , I'll have to have some kinda goatee 'cause I can't shave until I can remove the stitches... (Y) But thanks for the advice, maybe the giro semi MX is what I should look at then... will also be looking at some stiro foam chin cups I have seen on the web. Cheers
