I Wanna Put A Tough Coating On An Alloy Rotor

just reading a disc packet today and yes it was stainless steel. that was an aztec rotor (Y)

cant realy surface grind rotors as they tent to have magnetic tables thus pulling the disc flat and after you grid and take it off the bed it springs back to its original shape and you have high and lo spots, unless its perfectly true and flat (Y)

You can surface grind them there are techniques like using half magnet or less than half magnet to grind the first side, by doing this you eliminate the spring when you release it, whack it over then do the other side, I tend to use half magnet on anything I grind though, you should be able to move the part on the magnetic table with your hand, then you know it's clamped enough, although it's fun when the wheel explodes in your face, hahaha.

You actually managed to get an aztec rotor :- only the best.

fair point id rather not have stuff movin from under the wheel though and exploding wheels not so mice :lol:

madison will sell you an aztec rotor and quick as they can say jack flash :P or halfords sell em :-
