CBProductions
Hey everyone, I was just browsing some of the old XC makes when I spotted American Classic hubs and was wondering if anyone has used one? Also peoples opinions on them? Thanks in advance. Craig
quick_spider
They're a similar price to Hopes, but lighter. In my experience they're just as durable. Jon
CBProductions
Having read further on I noticed they are only 28 hold , is there and decent rims that could match. Cheers again Craig

fairy elephants
This is a review i did of my american classic hub a while back. If you read the topic, you will see that I had problems with one of the bearings shattering. I got in contact with both super cycles (phone), and american classic (unfortunatly only through e-mail, as my parents didnt want me phoning america) but i never managed to get the hub fixed. If I could get hold of a new bearing for it, I would almost certainly go back to it over my hope xc which i am running now. (Y) Good hub's I think mine was just a one off... ScotchDave
Go to your local bearing supplier, they will be able to get you one for a few quid which will fit. (Y)
tank_rider
ive been running them for 3 years now, had a 120 sus (non disc) for about 18 months, and now have the 140 disc hub, which has taken 18 months of punishment without a hitch. I'd say for the weight and money they are the best front hubs about for trials. I certainly don't see mine throwing in the towl any time soon. (Y) I tried that, and apparently it is a very unusual size, which they didnt have. Adam has given me a part number, which i might be able to put to good use though :D
quick_spider
That's strange. I thought they ran the same bearings as the old Hope Ultra-Lightweight. I got replacements from my local bearing supplier easily enough... Jon
nb88
I had a 140 disc on my mod, worked great and was very light. No complaints (Y)
