DTT - Echo Team
hey ive had a frame since january, and still going. u will need a rather wide rim, i have a koxx rim, and the brake lines up nicely. ive had no problems with frame, sturdy, and feels light when riding. went from 20 - 26. and it was easy getting used to. ross
Mr Motivator
Well first off, they are a dedicated short bike, which will suit some riders and not others, but seing as your coming from a judge it will be rather similar to what you are riding now. They ride very nice with the right set up and should last a little longer than most alu frames due to them being steel, and also will feel a little stiffer. They have horizontal drop outs which you could class as either an advantage or a disadvantage. An advantage being that you wont need to run a mech or tensioner because you will just be able to move the wheel backwards and tension the chain. This can be a disadvantage as the further you move the wheel back, the longer the chainstays get and the less responsive on the backwheel the bike becomes. However, you can run the special chain tensioners with the hanger and just put a mech on. Remember there are many other things that you will need to consider when getting a new frame. Such as revells have 4 bolt mounts, and as far as I'm aware, your judge doesn't so you will need to buy new mounts for around £10-£15 and also a new booster. As Ross said, you'll need a wide rim to fill up the gap between the rim and pads which will also boost up the cost, as you'll need a new rim, and a new wheel build. So if you want something similar to your judge but slightly more trialsy and stronger, then yeah, get it but personaly I'd go for a complete change and get something longer, but thats just me. Dan-Walker
just a little question, how long are the chainstays
b'mouth trials
Hey, i found mine ok but was really thinking of changing it, but now, i have put zoo bars and a 110mm echo stem on it feels real nice. I would recommend getting one. I think the best thing about them is hat they're really flickable, which is good. I think my stays at the moment are about 390ish maybe 400, but dont let that put you off, mine still feels really good. And yes, you will have to get a wider rim, i run a echo cnc and its just wide enough. Aaron.

Mr Motivator
Well, you can ride comps on it if you want, and you can ride street if you want. It's just a short bike.
Dan-Walker
cool, i want a short bike because i reckon i will find a long bike hard to do things on, and dont say why dont u do 20 inch becuase i prefer 26inch bikes a lot more. cheers dan

fairy elephants
DTT echo team's revel is very nice to ride, although it is short, t does not feel like a short bike. It is very easy on the back wheel. but at the same time, it feels very light to ride, making it very flicky for doing the spinny stuff. I would say it's an excelent comp frame (look at chris donney)
Dan-Walker
You say it would be good for a comp bike, why is that ? i ride street mainly thats why i want to know. thanx dan
fairy elephants
It feels light a flicky, meaning it is easy to put exactly where you want it when you are riding a section. The bike will be just as at home on the street. Don't think that because it will be a very good comp bike, it wont be any good on the street. I think Revel have done a good thing with this frame, it is equally at home in both sorts of riding :P
