James_Porter
i know your not aloud links to shops or what ever, but i didnt know you werent aloud to have largish font and prices of products in it. this morning i changed my sig, i took out engage clothing and freshproducts so i could put in "echo and zoo frames now £279" i have noticed that my sig has been changed to what it is now. so can someone actually tell me if there is a rule saying "prices of products are not aloud in sigs" or "text at 5 font is not aloud" cause im confused about all this. tomturd
Are there not enough rules already? It was people taking the piss in the first place that links were banned in sigs. I could write more but thats exactly what your complaining about. The ideal forum would be one where there was no need for rules, you dont make it easy for us though. Simon
I'm pretty sure prices aren't allowed. Not a clue about sizes though.

tomturd
Dare you, no rules for an hour or two lets see what happens Once everyone proves to us that there are no need for them, I will do. Thats never going to happen though while we still live in a society based on rules..

The ideal forum would be one where there was no need for rules, you dont make it easy for us though. i didnt say anything about adding rules. i just cant see the problem with me having a price of a product in my sig really. and i have had "selectbikes" in bold and bigger font for a long time, and when it was edited it was made smaller, maybe it was a mistake and if so fair. but it does just seem, like anal said, that if you have "t**t**i**s" in your sig then its brushed with a less harsh brush. maybe its just me, and im not trying to start an argument as rules are rules, i just wondered why there was a need for my sig to be edited as it was pretty much the same as it has been for the past few months, except it had a price in it. i just want a fair explanation to why it was changed and peoples sigs like ali c's^^^ still have "tartybikes" in large font. TheCircus
I think the answer is to not have signatures because they are pointless clutter.
Mark W
Ironically, Tartybikes seems to have more rules aimed at them solely. Anyway, Spacemunkee was not allowed to have "Tartybikes" then loads of their information underneath their post, so it follows you wouldn't either I suppose? JT!
I just can't see why sigs arn't taken off altogether, they're just used to advertise half the time anyway. It would make the whole forum look better and people will be forsed to use their profile, which is a good thing. And befor anyone says 'you can press some sort of button to not see them' i know, but then i'd be missing out wouldn't I? My thoughts anyway. :$
Mark W
Sigs are useful just for finding out some info about people, in that some people put their name/bike/e-mail address/other info in there, plus there are a few funny ones around. It's just that they're not meant to be super obtrusive, which is why I'm guessing, for example, Spacemunkee's mahoosive sig was removed. Michael Hardman
Get rid of sigs, put al the info you need is in the rofile, sites, names, interests, place for a funny quote or two. Place will look so much neaer, might run faster, look more professional and mature.
Siders77
I doubt it will ever look mature with people like "abdab!"(Who's now been banned I think?) This for example. I think Sigs are good because it gives everyone a chance to express themselves and so on.

tomturd
simple james... NO ADVERTISING didnt you learn anything at unbranded extreme weekend 05? How about you plaster every page of your site with multiple links to tartybikes, heatsinkbikes, cleanbikes and select bikes, then times that by about 100. Once youve accomplished that, come back and I may take you seriously.

Brian Bleech
Sigs are cool, I like them. As Mark said they are often funny or/and informative :$ but we all have eyes and I notice all signitures and find smaller fonts less obtrusive and seem more mature and professional (maybe), than having massive things. Using the standard sized font or maybe a bit bigger (one or two sizes bigger) and using bold and italic to make it stand out if you wanna, is fine. mike Edited October 4, 2005 by leedstrials

If he wasnt trying to be a cock to us then he should think before he takes the piss. This is a forum of free speech (for example this thread) yet all you lot ever do is whine. The day selectbikes, tartybikes and everyone else plasters their sites in links to everyone elses competitive website will be the day I allow advertising on here. Until then there would be nothing but conflict and competition between members to have the biggest advert for the company their mate runs. Not true. He just kept making it size 10 thousand ending up with a huge 2 inch high TARTYBIKES accross the screen.
