I'm there this saturday too. Who'da thunk it.

Although I'm gonna be taking my bike, I don't know what time I'm gonna be riding.

I get there at like 4pm (train down on the Saturday), which is homo, 'cos it'll be dark almost instantly...

Ah well.

Sameer- i saw the guy riding the t-raptor past the library the other day, but didnt catch him to say hi, don't think he know about the trials scene. maybe we should leave a note on his bike if we see it again. hes not in the mtb club im pretty sure.

I may be out this weekend, maybe sat afternoon if i get my bike built in time, maybe sunday, please pm me if your out on sunday. i will def be out next week :P

Loose- you wanna come out this weekend? i will be at home friday night/sat morning getting washing done and borrowing halford's headset press, but then i will be good as soon as my bike is built. Also update your profile, namely the location field.

nmt_oli do you wanna ride tomorrow? I think I am meeting with 'the666ers' and some of his trials buddies (unless you're one of those buddies) so you may as well jump along, too. Also, what bike do you ride at the moment? I saw another trials rider today whizz past me on... I can't remember, but he had suspension forks and a blue helmet.

Anyway, I was riding on campus earlier today and I can see some cool little trialsy places for you to ride. The place is a bit shite for bmx though... oh well.

I was talking to oli about riding tomorrow. We've both got a lecture 12:50 - 13:35, but after that I'm free to go anywhere for a couple of hours. Oli might have his bike done by then, depends if he can borrow the LBS' headset press in the morning. Where do you want to meet up? I need to grab some lunch so we can say 2pm? My Mob is 07887731769 if you need to contact me.

Loose.

Woooooooo! new bike built is luuuuuurvely (Y) :S :S

Sorry fred, might not see you tomorrow now! lol. might pop in with my new bike though, long way to cycle with a trials bike will see what happens. Did a bit of a ghetto headset fit, push it in a little with hand, put rug on desk so as not to scratch desk, bash frame+headet onto desk, repeat until headset cup is seated (Y)

Seems ok so far. its short, but doesnt feel very short, but manuals and bunny hops, so im happy. i very much like, even have pimp Ti bolts :D

looks like i will definately be out next weekend, and maybe this weekend, dunno when il get back though.

Sorry to be a total noob about all this but I'm really new to southampton & the urban trials scene in general, so could you let me know where & when you generally meet people for rides? I've seen snap-decision rides organised for soton that are along the lines of 'I'm thinking of going out this afternoon, meet usual spot'. Which for me, as an inexperienced rider isn't too informative. I've heard tell of 11am meets outside the central train station, sometimes 10am... Where do you usually start a days riding from?

Normal route;

11am outside the station, ride there for a bit

Move round to JJB sports outside West Quay (go past toys are us to get there)

Then go to Asda, ride there, eat food, throw stones

Then ride the Guildhall (but theres not much there)

Then to the seafront and ride the remains of the city wall

Then mayflower park.

Not always in that order ^^

So'ton always makes a good ride though :ermm:

I won't be out this time - as we have a gig.

Any of you who are at the ride and fancy staying in town for an evening of music should head down to the Joiners where we will be headlining. It's £5 on the door or £4.50 if you get tickets off me - no age restriction.

Cheers everyone

James
