Luke Drewery
Quote from the site; "OK, its official. We've signed up Danny Holroyd for our 2006 team. We're working with him on a brand new street trials frame and a signature edition complete bike available around May next year. Danny will be testing his new rig in the next 6 weeks and we'll get updates on line as soon as they happen. We'll post a full team listing up on line very soon. Now all we need is a freerider....." Sounds very interesting.
aust
nice to see company's from other bike sports coming into trials... will really help advertise the sport... be interesting to see what they come up with..... it will no doubt be a street rig... personally not my cup of tea.... but its giving the sport publicity.... and theres no such thing as bad publicity.. TomN
Nice hopefully the frame wont cost as much enabling others to start 24".
Brian Bleech
yeah it should be cool what they come up with, plus they make some decent stuff too so it could be all good. wonder if it will be 24 or 26 though. mike
SQuiT-man
I agree with Aust, sounds like great publicity for our sport, and great that another big company is starting to broaden their sights into the trials world too, although no doubt they will end up coming out with a very streety bike (Chris Akrigg's mongoose "trials" bike comes to mind), with longer stays than most of us would want in a trials rig, but oh well. Tony Harrison
nice to see company's from other bike sports coming into trials... Onza/DDG didn't start with trials... Yes, companies like 24/7 would be silly to miss out on an opportunity to get into trials. Why not? Lots of people want trials bikes, why not cash in? And you KNOW that they'll be listening to Danny and getting his input on the frame, so it'll be good.

butcha87
That's good news! Now pretty much all of the Ashton team are urban myths, except Martyn!
Tony Harrison
I think Gav Bedford's on the team now. But I see what you mean - I suppose Danny will have a better deal with 24/7, like Akrigg got a better deal with Mongoose. What's happened to Kurt Brain?? John Shrewsbury
Ashton and gavin are the only ones on ashtonbikes now. kurt brain does'nt ride for ashton anymore aswell as edd tongue. There both riding bmx or kurt is traveling or doing motorcross.
