Trials mama
hey, just a small question really, ive bled my rear brake through perfectly, puled the lever and it feels like poo, i watched the slaves and the pads were returning really slowly, is there any way to solve this?? thanks eddy
Mark W
When you pull the lever, the slaves come back slowly, but does the lever go slowly too? So does the lever flap around and the pads are slow to go back, or do they slowly go back together? If they do it together, loosen the pivot bolt at the lever. After a bleed, when you tighten the TPA back up, it sometimes means that it'll feel "tight". If it's just the pistons, take the pads out and the wheel out (just to keep 'em clean, or you can leave them on and do it neatly), then squeeze the brake in, and spray the exposed piston bit with GT-85/similar lube. Let it go back in. Pump the lever, then wipe the pistons clean. Repeat once or twice in total, then put a final bit of GT-85 on. Should clean out the inside of the cylinder and lubricate the piston, so it should be dandy.

walker
either that or the pivot bolt that hold your lever on could be to tight. If so slacken it off a tad and threadlock it at the desired tightness -Andrew
Trials mama
cheers buddy, i think the problem will be solved with the gt85 on piston solution, if not im screwed hehe thanks again guys eddy
Mark W
Nah, it's all solveable. It's a mechnical system, so therefore there has to be an answer, pretty much :) Like I said - try the lubing the pistons, but also double-check the pivot bolt like we both said. Mine went reaaaaaaally sketchy, and I didn't know what it was. Just didn't return much/quickly at all, so I asked Ad and he suggested trying that. I squeezed the lever, it stayed "squeezed" without me holding it, I loosened the bolt and it pinged back! If that's not it, it *could* be that you've got an air bubble left in the system?
