MattB Posted September 27, 2005 Report Share Posted September 27, 2005 hi there i was riding today and i was about to do a gap but stopped and accidently sat on the backwheel this snapped part of my magura brake cable not the long cable the little cable connecting the two things and going over the rear tyre. Just get a new piece of hose/cross over, from a bike shop, and then rebleed it, be about a fiver max. rich it shouldnt cost much at all as i think hosing is pretty cheap and you only need a little bit for the cross over, and then get it rebled. halfords and other bike shops can do this but will rip you off, and there are loads of topics on the forum about rebleeding a break yourself, and its a really easy process so search the forum on info for how to rebleed. you may even get away with not needing to buy new hosing, as if it is long enough you can cut it down and reuse the old crossover ( if it split at the end ) but if it split in the middle you will definantly need a new bit of hose.
