James@swanseatrials.com
hey im running a hot s on the rear at the moment. the tread is fine, but the sidewalls are really thin and keep shredding. Any help on a beefy tyre with a strong sidewall? Thanks James. :)

Clownbike
Like everyones says Maxxis Minion/Highroller. BUT :o I've used Maxxis Highroller 2 ply Supertacky 42a 2.5 for about 2weeks maybe a little more, and the tread has worn down a considerable amount. I was not impressed! :P ! I do ride street, but i thought they would last longer than this. The tyre is heavy in my eyes, but gives considerable pinch protection and looks "beefy" as you like! The grip is very nice though but, the tread was a little to high for my echo urban, even though it should be able to take a 3.0 :) , so i eneded up cutting a few bits of rubber off :) I paid £30 for the tyre :( , i'd say if you have the cash to keep buying new tyres, like low pressures or need good pinch protection, buy it. If you're a weight freek i'd say no. Try the Minion though, (or harder compound) Good luck, Neil :P (Hope this helps you) Edited September 27, 2005 by Clownbike
chrishayton
Maxxis tyres are great,BUT Try All tyres are by far the best, super grippy, last for ages(4months and bout half tread) they bout 30quid but well worth it, and its got beefy ass sidewalls too
James@swanseatrials.com
the actual tread on the hot s lasts forever lol iv had them for years and they just dont wear on the top just the sidewalls shread easy as pants. so i need a real thick sidewall.
