Hay all,

Am no longer that intrested in trials unfortunately, but im mates with a good few riders and am really wanting to get into photography nothing serious just messing about with a decent cam to see what i can get. And ive just got abut £250 toghether maybe £300 ill have to see, but anyway, i was wondering if any of you guys could recomend a camera to me. If at all possible it should be able to record vids aswell (not that bothered if it dosnt). And obviously needs to be a relatively good one because im not just after trials piccy's, ill be after anyhting and everything.

Cheers all :P

cannon eos350d shit hot eos 350d

or if you want to go into filming for a vid the best i would say is a sony handy cam hc 40 but you can get cheeper handy cams that are the same without touch screen here

but there are good and bad parts about both but they are both what i use and are excelent quality for sure and have never f**ked up.

look for the older version of the Canon Powershot S1 IS. 3.2 MP but function on it is pretty awesome for pics and vids. that should cost round about £300 if not a little less because of the appearence of the S2 few months ago.

also.... Konica Minolta Dimage Z5 should be around £250 if you look around, similar to te canon S2 but dead cheap (but quality also is lower than the S2, but still a 5mp, 12x optical, loads of functions like live histogram and 640x480 vids)

try and look for a Panasonic Lumix FZ5 too, probably best image quality on at this sort of price range (Leica lens), but a little let down on vids with 320x240 vids. 12x optical zoom and all though :P.

and of course owning a S2 IS myself i'd recommend that, because its a super cam. £360 if you look around carefully, swivel screen (like on those camcorders) AWESOME vid qualitys (in avi format its like dream-and i mean DV quality stuff going on). 12x optical zoom with Image Stabaliser, takes AA batts, takes a good couple of days to drain the batteries, LCD viewfinder......etc etc. there's too much to name. anyways have a good look and you'll see what im talking about.
