the dude that owns that lives just around the corner from me.... he wrote it off in the gumball rally though... it was the fastest cosworth in existance.. laptops and all sorts of shit lurking in it i tell thee

Yep he did, saw the footage of it, looked really nasty.

Prefere street racing cars (civics, supras, skylines etc) to supercars (ferrari, lambos, porsche etc)

As for the Rayland... the 0-60 time may be very impressive but I doubt it has the torque required to keep up with the supercars when it has set off, or the torque required to keep accelerating like a nutbar all the way to 205mph...

Torque is where its at (Y)

Yeh it does, it's top speed was 194mph if i remember correctly and 0-100 time is about 6 seconds. The stats were on the site but i can't seem to find them now, probably becasue it was written off. (I nearly died when i saw it sliding across the road :D )

It also holds the record for fastest caravan tow which is something like 128mph.

WOW i come back and see this has quite a few replys and alot of conflict between people about which cars better blah blah blah.

I was simply getting across that yes it's an awsome car but also an awsome video. I just love the whole theme about it like rich said, the editing, music and just clarkson being......well clarkson!

lol Yeh Steve I think I would as well but the hyabusa is an ugly bike but stupidly fast. Although on that you haev more chance of dying and you couldn't go round corners as quick.

I've got another vid of a pretty awsome car, more like the cossi where it's been modded from standard rather than being bought with everything perfect like the GT.

I'll get sidehop to do his thing later....watch this space!

Rob :D (Y)

never found out to be honest, i certainly can't remember reading it.

however i found the site again so have a read. http://reyland.co.uk/projects/ReylandEsCos/index.htm

big stats on there, i ain't being cocky and all "i told you so" but there's no denying thats one f**king quick old escort, (or was) however i've seen pictures of an apparent 're-build' so looks like it lives on. :D

Oh, and i read earlier about it reaching 197mph whislt racing and enzo on the 04 gumball, not even at full boost and with the huge whale wing on the back.

Bugger me! That Reyland (according to the site) was generating 580lb/ft of torque!

I cant see anything much bigger than a 2.5 litre engine going in there, so how it generates that much torque is unbelievable... it must be so unstable (Y)

Yea, but it's gonna' need tractor tyres to deliver that much power. Old School SuperCars for the win.

After Lotus Carltons. :D Or any Lotus actually.

Yeh the Hyabusa isn't great, but this was just about going fast so it dont matter.

Personally I'd take a KTM supermoto over the Hyabusa anyday, woo roll on geting a motorbike.
