No. your opinion mate, i ain't tellin you what to like, i said that I would rather have that over a poncy porsche. I'm more of a rally fan than a cruise around in my shiney supercar fan and would have any of the rally classics over a modern day supercar. (Quattro, CS celica, Delta Intergrale or the cossie), cars which have all achieved something in the hands of people i see as some of the best drivers in history. I don't like modern cars, i hate the new mustang, ferraris, mercs and 'supercars' like the zonda, saleen etc. Sure, they are almost motoring perfection, but to me they are bland. (with the exception of the F1 - beast) Oh and p.s Rayland Cossie 0-60 is (or was) 2.8s (i think from memory might be 2.6) if thats what makes a car cool to you. bubye porsche. I'm going with Nick on ths one, for sheer drivers car, I would have a Mighty Mini (and before anyone slates them, go in one first!!). Er... what Top Gear have you been watching? There was an episode where Clarkson compared the F40 the 360 Challange Stradele...which has a smaller engine and less power than the F40, and he hated the drive of the F40, it was so bare as well, no comforts of the 360, yet the 360 was faster tround the track by about half an hour... he said he liked the originality and looks, which are gorgeous, but as a drivers car it just couldnt compete... I mean really, why would Porsche and Ferrari create cars that drove worse than the ones they made over twenty years ago... it doesnt make sense! There was a topic on this a while ago and it was decided then the F40 was not as good as a modern supercar... As for the Rayland... the 0-60 time may be very impressive but I doubt it has the torque required to keep up with the supercars when it has set off, or the torque required to keep accelerating like a nutbar all the way to 205mph... And no im not a rich kid... i live away from home n rarely see my parents and never rely on them financially. His reason for sellin the amg... "had a few of them (amg's) and bit over em now... want to get a really special toy" thought it wuz a laff... i struggle just to keep 1 bike running and maintain some sort of social life.
