MesaMan
Alright guys, In Trials is there any benefit for a larger 180 front rotor as not much heat gets into it and weights more. Surly a 160 would equally as good?! Any thoughts? -R-
Siders77
On a mod I would say 160mm but I would go for a 180mm on a stock. What brake do you have/are you getting?
Tomm
It's not just about heat dissipation though - A bigger disc = more power. Without worrying about heat the only trade off of a bigger disc is a bit more weight. But I wouldn't go smaller than a 180 on the front. If it's an Avid though there's not much point in the 205 (for most people) as that's just overkill and extra weight.
MesaMan
I've got a bent Avid BB8 thing so looking for a replacement - Hope Mono Mini thing with braided hose maybe.
Hobnobs
The only thing better than an avid would be a mono trial. Stick with the avid unless im confused and youve completely screwed the caliper or something.
Siders77
Get a Juicy 7. (Y) I have one and it's fookin' nice! Nice and powerful and has good modulation. (Y)
Impacted.
Muahaha, I own a Super brake™, my mono trial bones any other brake on the market with a 200mm rotor :D (before I get flamed, don't take that too serisouly cos I, of course, haven't tried all the brakes in the world..durr!) Tony Harrison
My Mono Trial bones them all on a 180!!! Don't worry about heat dissipation, this is trials not downhill...
