Smo™
Don't pull on the handlebars so much. I think your balance (when leaning backwards while on the backwheel) isn't the problem. Try making a concious effort to let your legs and lower body do the hopping instead of pulling the bars back (Y)
MesaMan
I can't backhop so I don't know why I'm offering advice, but don't you have to make sure cranks are level with the floor - when I practice I notice mine are ratchet back a bit causing backward movement. PaRtZ
I can't backhop so I don't know why I'm offering advice, You just wanted to boost your post count (Y) You will get it if you keep practising though :D. Then you'll be able to boon which is much more effective for putting the rear wheel where you want. Booning is like pedal hopping, but without pedalling (easy to think of it that way) Try more, smaller hops? But mostly practice lol

Wrayvon
If you lift the front wheel higher, i.e bars closer to your chest, then it will be easier to hop on the spot. Small hops are also helpful :P wray
