Lawnmowerman
What are curtis forks like? In fact. Do they even make forks? (Y)

philking
Are you using a disc or rim brake? If you are using a disc see if you can get your hands on some cannondale fatty R's. They will outlast most other forks. As for Curtis forks, they will most likely be steel, therefore not what he asked for... (Y)

You do realise straight blade forks have the same rake as curved ones? I really reccomend pashleys, I think the curved fork really suits 24" and they are as strong as an ox

I really reccomend pashleys, I think the curved fork really suits 24" and they are as strong as an ox that maybe so... but i have put a set of pashley forks on my bike and measured wb... 1040 and then put the ashton forks back on and it came out at 1020!! So id like to keep it at that length if possible. Maybe the pashley forks iv got are bent out (they are 2nd hand so maybe!) but thats how it looks right now. thx for the advice though (Y)
Janson
does the wheelbase really matter? i can't tell any difference riding forks with different rake. it's not like it adds 2" on chainstays, drops the BB by 5" and slackens the head angle by 5 degrees.. Luke Drewery
Just get pashleys, there the same rake. I agree, the pashley forks look nice on a 24" and they are bombproof too! Only downside is that you have to either get a disc mount welded on or get the brake mounts moved. :D
shovel
if you're running a disk brake then fatty-r's would be a good choice, i've had a set for 4 years and only now they're making very strange noices and showing signs of stress and corrosion
RicH_87
the new zoo forks might be worth a look. :P
SQuiT-man
Thats what I was about to say- the new zoo fork looks very nice, like a fatty R but with CNC'd areas. Looks very nicely designed
