cp101
Ryan Leech has indeed gone out of his way to show young and unexperienced riders how to Master the Art of Trials. Watching this video will not magically make one a proficient rider, but it will indeed clear up any questions one may have on certain moves. The ability to see the action performed slowly ( which is just awesome ) and the option to play and replay it is extremely helpful! The way Ryan explains all his moves is slowly and concisely - also his body language is friendly. When I deal with people their body language says it all, and Ryan geniunely seems to want the riders excelling in their craft. The DVD is split into three phases, and a play section; Phase one, as one would assume deals with beginning aspects of trials riding, such as trackstanding, hopping, rocking, etc. All available in slow motion and the body momentum is clearly shown as is the braking rhythm. Phase two deals with using the drive train more; Pedal punches, punches off, pucnhes on, etc. And are shown at different angles to see how the rider can balance best. Proper landing technique is explained. Phase three deals with the more advanced moves of trials riding; Amazingly, the bunny hop is in here, and I agree. It can be quite difficult to master. Again, Ryan explains touch ups, kick ups, hook ups, side hops. The play section is the most entertaining; Manuals, front hops, wheelies, static 360 spins, rock walks, etc. A great section! Follows the same motifs as the rest of the DVD, Ryan explains it, very well at that. This DVD is truly one of a kind..literally. Are there any other DVD trials videos? I don't believe so. Fantastic DVD for the beginners, intermediate riders, and even advanced riders who might wanna watch a pro do it, see if they're up to par. I'm a beginner, but, I know a good instructional video when I see one. I've been playing guitar since I was a wee lad, I have many videos on it, some of them are just horrendous, and not worth the money, and the guitarist can be a cock ( check Yngwie Malmsteen ). With this DVD Ryan is friendly, courteous and explains everything so damn well. Pick this up when you can. 5/

Mark W
www.chillivideo.com do it in the UK  That's where I ordered mine from. Should've been here today along with my Try-All rim from Cleanbikes, but both are a no-show. Joyous. Thanks for the review (N) Oh - and to cp101 - you're supposed to get validated soon, but everything's all messed up 'cos of the new board we're using (for example, mods can't validate any more), so you'll just have to bear with us, sorry.
