Ingram
Hello, Basically i would like to know the advantages of having 8mm bolts holding my king on other than a quick release. Thanks for time and help (Y) Jake
deagledaddy
I have some on my bike which is never used but would definately reccomend them Good - Arguably a firmer hold/less liekly to let the wheel slip - Less likely to get damaged/bent/fooked - Stiffer rear end - Stronger - Looks cleaner - Probably lighter Bad - You have to have the 8mm allen Key on you to take your wheel off - You need to pay extra for them and require the HD axel as well. Ali C
I love mine, I snapped 2 normal axles then got the heavy duty ones, not had a problem yet. There are a couple of disadvantages though: I have to completley unbolt my rear mech every time I take my wheel out as the bolt heads wont clear it. I had to modify my control to actually get the rear wheel in. needs an 8mm allen key to get wheel out
IOLO
due to the thread being thicker than the area in the dropout, it would be pretty hard to design a nice simple good 360 dropout. but there aint any so forget it. lol
nb88
Do CK replace axles free if you snap them? and how much does the heavy duty axle cost from CK?
