joshonza
I keep moving my brakes (magura) towards the middle of my bars. So i can use one finger but the grips keep moving aswell. :'( I have been told to use glue and glue the grips is that right. ;) Thanks for any help Josh :D
bikerdude2006fr
get lock-ons :'( never have them moving again ;) but if you cant afford, dont want lock-ons then use hair spray, it goes on wet making the grip easier to go on and when it dries its solid like glue ;) that should sort out your problem mate p.s dont forget to leave them for a while to dry :D
lankyri
or tar i us that and my grip dosent move at all, or but some tape round the bars so ur grip cant slide over it thats a good way and you can hardly notice it with black bars :'( hope this helps
JT!
Hairspray. Don't use glue, you wont get them on in the first place.
chrishayton
just put a zip tie at the inside edge or your grips, that way they cant move down as its in the way. as long as its tight enough then it wont move
Trials Smithy
Hairspray. Don't use glue, you wont get them on in the first place. Yer use hair spray it works for me. just spary a little hair spray inside your grip and a little on you bars, then put you grip on and place ithow want it. Leave it over night and it won't move in the morning.(Y)

Ash-Kennard
Yeah with WD40 being a lubricant an all. :) A lubricating substance shouldn't work but It does, thats what I used. I think Its oil-based too, but I'm not too sure.
flipkickbs
Get some wcs foam grips, put the end on, then put the end of a handheld bike pump over the other end, make sure the opposite end of the bars is sealed, then pump the grip on, (might need two people to do this). no lubricants involved so grips go on as tightly as possibly, iv had no trouble with mine, they are locked on solid :) , hope this helped Edited September 19, 2005 by flipkickbs
Da Bomb
lol i have exactly the same problem,if i move my levers low and behold me grips are slidin with em,even with glue :)
Zoo_Monkey
i have tried the following - grips + hairspray, touch and go you need to have realy clean bars and grips or they take ages to set - zip-grips/ zip ties and grips, same as above the zip-ties yous stop the ends moving - celulose paint (cheap halfords car paint) + any grips works grate use hairspray to desolve the celulose to get the grips back off. - lock on grips, perfect but if you bash them around alot you end up having to cut them off altho they are the best solution over all trust (Y)
am4zin
Get some wcs foam grips, put the end on, then put the end of a handheld bike pump over the other end, make sure the opposite end of the bars is sealed, then pump the grip on, (might need two people to do this). no lubricants involved so grips go on as tightly as possibly, iv had no trouble with mine, they are locked on solid :) , hope this helped yeh at my bike shop they use compressed air to slide the grips on without putting anything between the bars and grips. when i got new bars and a stem, i went to the bike shop and got them to put the grips on tight for me cos the hairspray trick didnt work for me (Y)
aust
gt85 works well.... or i use an airline... the air expands the grip and it slides on.. stop the air flow and it wont move for shizzle Edited September 20, 2005 by aust
tom tom
this might sound weird but like the wd40 thing i use fairy washing up liqued and it works for me it slides on really easy then when it dries it goes hard and sticks (dont know why but it worked for me)
