emery
As it says whats the best freewheel and what cranks to get with it aswell . birthday soon :D toby :'(
JT!
ENO is the best freewheel out there. That's undeniable. But the best set up is a profile freehub. (aka hub with a built in freewheel). So you have the 'freewheeling device' on the rear and a fixed cog on the front. Both a good setups, depends how much money you want to spend/got. Dan6061
Could be fun with a front and rear freewheel though... Think how easy it would be to fakie etc... :'(

JT!
Could be fun with a front and rear freewheel though... Think how easy it would be to fakie etc... ;) It would be exactly the same to fakie with two freewheels than one. :'( Sorry for not being clear but its my front ( I thought i have a freewheel ) and what cranks are good aswell. toby :"> ENO then, there's only 2 freewheels worth thinking about, ACS and ENO. The ENO is £80ish, opposed to the ACS which is £13. Crank: Zoo or Tensiles. :D Edited September 17, 2005 by JT!

JT!
Id rather get the acs as ineed it quick thanks Well get it from select bikes and it's welded up for you. :'( Mind you you probably have an ACS already on your bike. JT!
what bike you got? If it's a mission i don't know what freewheels on it, but it's on the back so chances are it fine as it is. Freewheels on the back get alot less forse applied to them.
emery
I've got a t-lite and it's my front freewheel. toby :'( On the I think I've got a chainring but not sure and which tensile cranks are better the tensile cranks with bashguard or the tensile uci ( from tarty bikes). emery
BUMP I need to know which are more suitable for street toby (Y)
JT!
So what cranks have you got at the moment? It dosn't really matter weather you have the UCI bashring or not, and you have the bashplate anyway, so i supose you could get the uci bashring one to help stop your trousers getting caught, but it's just extra weight. EDIT: Hand on i'm confused now, do you have your freewheel on the front or on the rear? Have you got a pic of your bike, that would make it much easier. Edited September 18, 2005 by JT! emery
At the moment I've just got basic muscle man cranks same as a t-pro. I don't know what a freewheel is really but I think it's chain ring I don't no I'll try and post in a pic I dont know how but it's just a basic one you get on a t-lite probally. sorry for the confusion. toby (Y)
JT!
^ Freewheel It's the device that lets you pedal, but when your going down hill, the back wheel spins without the pedals going round. Quite sure yours is on the front, so you need to get the tensiles without a chainring. These or These If you after the tensiles. However, tensiles are ISIS (splined) so your going to have to get a new bottom bracket. As the bottom bracket you have now is square taperd. Pics below. Square taper. ISIS (Splined). So if you don't want to buy a new bottom braket, you have to get some cranks like this. They come in both ISIS and square taper. (Y)

Any 128mm BB will do. I think tartybikes has some but they arn't on the site.

Try-all bb's don't fit into t-lite frames. The middle section gets stuck in the parts that's not thredded. ;) You want an FSA DH bb, but i had problems with mine, but i think if you got a differt model you should be ok. I hear that tartybikes have them in, but they arn't on their site. Edited September 19, 2005 by JT!
emery
ok thanks for telling me and I've got a 04 t-lite frame so would this fit in the hole and would I have any problems with it but would the cranks be fine aswell. toby
JT!
The only BB i have come across that fits into a t-lite frame is the FSA's. But when i had my fsa the freewheel rubbed on the bb sell. But i have a feeling it maby was just an odd ball. So yeah, once you have the bb sorted the rest is easy. I bought a Truvativ gigapipe DH 128mm BB and it didn't fit untill i took the file to it, and it went in perfect. I would go for the fsa's, cheaper than the try-all one anyway, and they'll fit. :)
Alun Goch
the acs freewheel(front) is alright, but make sure its welded up, cos mine just fell apart after only a few days light use. loctite should do the same, but it gets to the bearings, so lube up boys!
