What Psi Do You Run?

hey,

just wondering, because trials seems to be very inviting to pinch flats......

what kind o tuebs do you run, and at what PSI? i thought that running a very high PSI would be good, but then in another forum someone said to run 10-12 PSI.

what would be best for my set-up. i've got an Azonic DS-1 with 2 26" rims, and two tires with sidewalls on the thinner side. i just would like to know, because the last two rides i've taken i've tried to do a few trials moves, and managed to pinch flat on the corner of a concrete bench....doh.

i have got micheline hot s tyres front and rear and they had thin side wallas and i was pinching all the time. i used to only run 18 psi but i kept ppinching on them so i now run 25psi and it still feel like 18 psi but without the punctures

18 PSI??? holy crap, i used to have those tires, and i would pinch them all the time at 35-50PSI......i wish i could still find that tire in red actually, they were great tires and they made my bike look great.

somethin's goin on though.....i'm running my current rear tire at 70PSI and it's been holding pretty well, as for the front, i'm at 50 still.

What PSI you run realy does depend on how smooth you are and how you ride, I run 20 rear and 25 front on my Mod with Creepy crawlers. but evn when im doing street trials style moves on my jump bike I still run them at 70-80ish because the shape of the bike makes landing trials stuff smooth realy dificult and I have DMR tyres which pich megga easily :( .

Both my tyres are run at about 10 psi, maybe less.

Classic Tioga on the front, and a Michelin DH 16 on the rear.

Loverly :ermm:

I very much doubt that either... you will be rimming it just cycling up a curb - and due to you having a Tioga on the front you will constantly be getting pinches and punctures, not as much with the Michelin but I still don't quite belive you... Sorry! :(

Quote "no offence but i really doubt that"

Would you like to come and measure them?

I assure you, they are at that pressure.

And yes, i do rim it on everything, and for some reason, the tioga on the front hasnt let me down once yet.

And yes, i do rim it on every little gap, and even rim the ehll out of it front touching.

Have one look at my rear rim, on the left side, and you will see.

The point, I dont care, i cant be assed to pump my tyres up, they work well at that pressure, so Ill leave them there
