trialsguru
right, basically ive snapped a spring in my hope hub and i went on chain reaction but they were £15 so i thought fook that! i thought that if i put a bearing in the hole itll push the remaining part of the spring up enough, but now the bearing is stuck in the spring hole!!!! it spins inside but i cannot get it out, ive a titanium freehub body, ive tried drilling it, freezing it then heating up the freehub to expand it, a magnet to try and pull it out and the little shits still in there, and worst of all wiggle do the springs for £1.50! can anyone think of a way to get it out, please im desperate :)
shovel
besides chiselling out with a screwdriver or any other forms of brute force, you could try sending the wheel back to hope and they should be able to get the bearing out and fit some nice new springs being the helpful people they are
Onza Kieron
Try a size 3 alankey with superglue on the end, remember to give it sufficient time to dry then give it a good yank, should budge it. Kieron :)
Tony Harrison
Are you sure it spins? They're smooth, ball bearings, and it might just be stuck in there. You could still use the hub with a cut-down spring, but on the whole when a spring goes it's a good idea to get a new set. One damaged spring is enough to make the hub skip.
