Gonna buy some new pads, you have to me wich one...

Heatsink blues on a non-grind! :)

Plazmatic CRMs on a grind! :)

The Heatsinks work fairly well, just that Plazmatics have more hold. They both have about the same amount of bite and sound.

Theyre evenly matched if you wanted to have superb performance on any rim surface.

Ok koxx browns do work, Im not really sure who says they dont, just bear in mind they are ment to be used on a grind.

Plazzy's are very good, however please think about the fact that we are now entering wet weather riding time and plazzy's dont work in the wet.

Koxx brown work very well in the wet on a grind and so I would suggest strongly the browns over anything else purely on the wet weather performance and the time of year :)

Slippy brake forever

Somone can't set up a brake . . .

Koxx browns have incredible hold, put it this way, I'm choosing to run these over Coust pads - they rule, I know the reds and yellows are even more powerful but browns got plenty of power and a good wear rate, Koxx are onto a winner with the brown compound

Edit: I should have read further down the thread to see people disagreeing with him already :">

That wasn't intended as a dig at you lol

Yeah but to be fair I think he should know that plazzies dont work in the wet before he goes and buys some just before winter.

I would never ever use heatsink or rim jam, so instead of just saying niether I thought I would suggest probally one of the best wet weather pads about

Yeah the old ones were mint. I reckon they changed them though because people were only needing 1 set of pads a year

Meh, i'd prefer the extra bit of wear for the extra hold and bite(koox reds).

Heatsink blues work the same in the wet as they do in the dry, which is pretty re-assuring :-

English? :P lol

And if you take your eyes to the left then you will see that hes not actually english, although can spell fine, but really......did it matter :-

Anway,

Got heatsinks on at the mo, there good but dont work at all in the wet.

By the sounds of it plazzys dont either so defo go for koxx browns!!

Had them on a grind for ages now and they work imencely.

Although im going to get the red koxx ones next as a mate has them and there better again, due to them being softer but still they have lasted longer than my browns

Koxx all the way!

Rob :D

Ok in the dry weather you have to go plazz all the way.

BUT, as I found out last night a single drop of water, and yes I mean a SINGLE drop, on your rim and plazzies had me laying on my back. It's like they designed a pad that turns into a bar of soap when wet.

I've never ridden Koxx Bloxx but from what people say get them, as winters closing in fast and you'll want a good brake.

I'm flattered to be in a poll with the Plaz pads :-

The Plaz pads will naturally storm to victory here - they have been out for many years so awareness is much higher. I think the number of riders testing the blues at the moment is barely into double figures!

I'd love to hear more about the question of which is the better pad. This is what helps to continually improve and can of course only be answered by the relatively few riders who have owned both.

The Blues are one of the test compounds I've been testing with Tartybikes, and they have been well received by many test riders. This has been to the point where I have had more made due to interest. Testing is on going still to see whether we can better them.

Your honest feedback much appreciated, also taking into account the value for money aspect.

All feedback (whether on TF, by PM or email) is incredibly useful. Don't hesitate to get in contact with your opinions and experiences, or just for a chat. I've been trying to make my pads for riders, developed by riders!

Cheers,

Steve
