Above are my options. Please dont suggest other pedals like vp-s..

Ive used plastic pedals for a year and a half :">

Finally I got some money and want to buy decent flat pedals. I wont be grinding with them, just trials - so hitting them occasionally is considered normal..

Thx for voting and for advice  (Y)

V8's all the way, only £20, light, strong, smooth, grippy and look good too with a good choice of colours. I have had two pairs of v8's both being amazing, the only reason I sold my other v8's is because I wanted to try rob warner dh pedals which were ok but now im back with v8's. Great value I think.

Get the v12's they have lasted me 2 years and are still going VERY strong. Forget what anyone else says get v12's they don't fall apart like the others they are sh*t strong.

But in the end its your choice, but as the grass is green get

v12's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I vote for the V-12's. My last pair lasted (still work but I sold my old bike so they went with it) over 5 years and still span smooth and straight - and I never serviced them once! I just got V-12's on my new trials bike and they are rediculously grippy. I used to have v-8s along time ago and they were good but they do wear out easier and "feel" a lot cheaper (well they are!)

I've had the same V12 for 5 years and they are still going strong. The axles are strong and the bearing last years. I used to do most of my riding on Welsh beaches for 2 years and the salty air and falling in rock pools, hasn't affected them in the slightest. IMO they are the perfect pedal. To grease the bearing you just unscrew the end cap, fill the hole with grease and screw the cap back on. All the old dirty grease gets squeezed out of the other side and the pedal runs like new for another year. I would swear by them. I could never go back to an open bearing pedal again.

Get some V8s rather than V12s,only real difference is that V12 has all replaceable pins which is useless because they only bloody come out every five minutes anyway.

:D

The V12s have sealed bearings and the V8s have open bearings with a greaseport. Makes a big difference in the life span of the bearings.

I would personally get the V8's as they cost you much less unless you have had a bad experience...

I have had a V8 COPY on mine for about 5 years (2 years dirt 1 year in a shed and 2 years trials...) and they are fine... Factory Freak or summit... :D

Get the V12's mine have lasted my so far for nearly a year. But i need to replace something in them becuase when i spin it it makes a weird loud noice. Think its the bearings but i can easyily get them.

:)

No what that is is water in the axle/barings i had the same problem. slip the cage of a put LOADS of grease in and they be 100% fine.
