Big John Posted September 12, 2005 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 Hi Guys... It depends what you are looking for, quarries are fine places but if you can get permission. Most of these places are still used and they are governed by Health and Safety legislation which can be a huge problem when you let the owners know what you want their quarry for! If you like I'll keep my eyes and ears open as my job takes me all over Scotland. There are some useable bits of ground, but I believe that ground used for powered trials (i.e. motorcycle trials) is not really useable for Bike Trials. I personally know of a good place in West Lothian, about 15 miles from Edinburgh which has an old quarry of sorts but hasn't been used even for motorcycles for years. Any details of those spots you're on about? ← Theres a place called loch dantelchaig which i recently came across which would be perfect for a competition.The land is owned by the council so i think my dad is going to write a letter to see if holding a comp there would be a possibility.
