Watson©
Ohhhh dear! :( I seen the pic on Tartybikes and I was like - hmmmmm that looks noice but now since I have seen that my opinon has changed... the graphics look crummy, I would dry hump it if they where better or had no stickers cause without them it would look sex but they just look pish... spray the frame and put custom stickers on and make it look the mutz nutz :) :ermm: Watson
Mark W
I would, it's just taht to be honest, my time's pretty scarce now due to working loads, so I'd rather just be out riding it. When I'm riding my bike, I can't really notice the stickers anyway, so it's no big deal really. I'd rather they weren't there, but not so much that I'd rather not ride as much and sit breathing in fumes as I sprayed it...
RicH_87
lol i remember a few months back your bike was the trials version of a patchwork quilt, now the rims actaully match the brakes and all that fabcy shizzle! anyway, have you riden a python before? if so, how does it compair avec the zona? just that i can't ride my mates python for the life of me and i know you are a fan of short bikes yet you seem to love it, even though to me, it looks almost identicle. Mark W
Well, there's the thing. Chainstay lengths are the same (as I've got it set up, I could eek a few more mil out if I wanted) as the T-Pro, right? So the back end's the same. The BB rise is greater than the T-Pro, as is the wheelbase. However, the higher BB makes the bike "Feel" shorter, hence the Vinco feels a lot shorter than it is. It doesn't feel much different to just stand over than the T-Pro, but as soon as you actually ride it you feel the difference. It's just a really good frame, and it does all the fancy shit you'd expect a really good frame to do :( If you can, get a go on one. Hell, even just go out and buy one. They're super nice, and at £199 for the painted one it's not bad...
trialsking 55
couldn't you just t-cut the stickers? and i am deffianately getting one for crimbo :( :) :ermm: no snail cams. that sucks Edited September 17, 2005 by trialsking
Davetrials
Looking good :) Quick, get some washing on that line before the sun goes in :( Haha thats old man talk steve snap out of it. :ermm:" I hope those stickers will come off, they look god awful, but didnt we have the same problem with the t rex, everybody says i hate it, its awful, although now EVERY f**ker has one. Caleb
Yer i can see the t-pro / t-rex thing easily happening with this. i know mine will be getting sprayed a.s.a.p, im also not a fan of those shite painted stickers, why that font and why sooo small? Im soo tempted to drill mt frame out for snail cmas, as most of the normal tensioners on the market atm are a bag O wank, and i doubt ill crack it :'(" . Should have mine wednesday cant wait :D
Sponge
The prototype Zona Zips looked really nice, but now Zona have a new Aheadset sort of headtube that looks very familiar to the old T-Raptor 2004 headtube, which looks a bit like an unthreaded BB shell... :'( Also, the downtube on the Zona Zip on Trials Nation, looks identical to the downtube of the Onza T-Mag, how it ovalises from vertical to horizontal along the downtube. It's also a 7005 series frame like the T-Mag 2005 so who knows, the downtube could be the same... Anyhow, that's just my theory, we'll see if its more dent resistant than the T-Mag 2005 soon enough even if they do have identical 7005 alloy downtubes... but, for £200 for the dark grey version, no one can really complain, sure some people don't like the graphics, but from Mark's brief ride, it seems a dam good frame for only £200 or so. Now, I'm just waiting for Zona or Onza to produce a T-Bone or some cromo mod :D
Mark W
Yer i can see the t-pro / t-rex thing why that font and why sooo small? Bloody hell, wouldn't want those bastards any bigger, would you? :D Went out for a real ride today, and it's performing really well. Sidehops are just loads better. 4" higher sidehopping to back wheel, and to two wheels, over night. Not bad :'( The extra standover height from my T-Pro is super good, you can really lean the bike into the hop more (if you get me), so it means you kinda place it down there better. It's just good ;)
Olly C
It's just good ;) Pretty much everything you seem to buy turns out to be this way ;) You get something and suddenly its gods gift to trials/bmx and everyone must own it. The day I got my Python I thought it was pretty bad, for weeks I still thought it was pretty bad, then it kinda grew on me and I can appreciate why people might find them very nice, they really can improve your riding and are as strong as anything I've ever seen. When a few more people get them and I see what there like strenght-wise and stuff It may be an option for my next frame if I ever need one, I am glad that its got standard headtube now, I hated the T-Pro ones felt unsafe to me, now you can pimp them with King's and Hope's its all good :'( Like to see what non-sham setups look like with that frame :P Nice to see Onza/Zona bringing that kinda of spec frame to the masses though, frames like the Python's and Rex's etc really do improve riding and riders greatly I believe which is a good thing :D Olly. Mark W
Pretty much everything you seem to buy turns out to be this way :'( That's 'cos I don't often buy shit. I get Beringer bars, I say they're good. You try them - they ARE good. I get those CF risers 2 years ago. I said they're good. Now loadsa people run 'em (not saying it's a direct result, just that it proves it's not just me :D). Renthal grips are good. I said they're good. People have them and like them. And so on... It's just the way it is. I'm lucky enough to have bought parts I really like, and other people happen to have bought them too and really like them. But yeah, I'm 'interested' to see how it'll turn out strengthwise. I just hope it's not going to suddenly die or anything. No reason to suggest it would, but it's just like when we were testing the T-Bones and you're never quite sure what's gonna happen 'cos it's all unproven... Olly C
but it's just like when we were testing the T-Bones and you're never quite sure what's gonna happen 'cos it's all unproven... You've gotta love that feeling :'( It was like, right massive bunnyhop to rail, is my headtube going to tear off mid-air or on landing... Yea Im happy your happy, my bikes were feeling pants yesterday, now I've moved the bars on my BMX forward the whole bike feels better and my front disk is finally working again on my trials bike so I can do some mad front wheel gaps ;) BUT we all know Monty Risers are where its at for mod bars :D" Olly. Mark W
You've gotta love that feeling :'( It was like, right massive bunnyhop to rail, is my headtube going to tear off mid-air or on landing... Mine waited 'til I landed on the wooden rail, then just went "TING!" (same noise my last T-Pro made when it cracked...) and tore itself open. Fortunately, it all stayed together... Caleb
No real trees near me so i had to do std pics sorry  Just got it built up this morning properly, and am gonna grind the rim in a minute (N) Rides even better than my old t-pro and i loved that , just feels so more stable but flicky at the same time its great. However my brake mounts were by the looks of things welded on at different angles to each oither, so ones like this | parralel to the frame and the other is more of this shape\. But nvm i set it up alright anyway. goinig out for a long ride today with soome mint riders so should be good fun and therell probably comment on my bike later . Piccys . . . Notice the armour dildo hiding the stickers hahah, good job though
